SalaryJunior Project Engineers engaged under India Optel Limited Recruitment 2026 will be placed in Pay Level ₹30,000 – ₹1,20,000, along with Industrial Dearness Allowance (IDA). They will be eligible for House Rent Allowance (HRA) as per applicable rates where company accommodation is not allotted. Medical Allowance of ₹1,500 per month is payable, subject to conditions for retired Govt. employees/Ex-servicemen with respect to CGHS/ECHS/Defence Forces NOC. An annual increment of 3% of basic pay (rounded to the next ten) is admissible during the tenure, based on satisfactory performance and recommendation of the competent authority.

Eligibility / Qualification

Candidates applying for India Optel Limited Recruitment 2026 must satisfy all eligibility conditions related to nationality, age, educational qualification and experience as on the closing date of the advertisement. Nationality: Applicant must be an Indian citizen. Age Limit: 18 to 35 years as on the closing date of the advertisement. Educational Qualification – Chemical: First class (minimum 60%) full-time regular B.Sc degree in Chemistry from a recognized university with at least 5 years of post-qualification relevant experience. Educational Qualification – Electrical: Full-time regular 3-year Diploma in Electrical / Electrical & Electronics / Plant Maintenance Engineering with minimum 60% marks and at least 5 years of post-qualification relevant experience. Educational Qualification – Electronics: Full-time regular 3-year Diploma in Electronics & Communication / Electronics & Instrumentation / Industrial Electronics & Instrumentation with minimum 60% marks and at least 5 years of post-qualification relevant experience. Educational Qualification – Mechanical: Full-time regular 3-year Diploma in Mechanical Engineering / Production Engineering / Mechatronics with minimum 60% marks and at least 5 years of post-qualification relevant experience. Educational Qualification – Optics & Coating: First class (minimum 60%) full-time regular B.Sc degree with Physics and Mathematics as major subjects from a recognized university with at least 5 years of post-qualification relevant experience. Marks Relaxation: General/OBC (NCL)/EWS candidates must have at least 60% aggregate marks; SC/ST/PwBD candidates must have at least 50% aggregate marks in the essential qualification. Course Type: Only full-time regular courses recognized by AICTE/UGC/State Boards or appropriate statutory authorities will be considered.

Selection Process

Screening: Applications will be screened by a Screening Committee, and only eligible candidates will be considered. Shortlisting: Candidates will be shortlisted for interview, generally up to 1.5 times the number of vacancies, based on percentage of marks in Diploma/B.Sc (as applicable). Interview: Only shortlisted candidates will be called for personal interview, for which call letters will be sent through email. Final Merit: Final merit will be prepared using 75% weightage for Diploma/B.Sc percentage and 25% weightage for interview performance. Document Verification: Original documents will be verified before interview; any shortcomings or discrepancies will result in rejection of candidature. Tie-breaking: In case of equal scores, the elder candidate (by date of birth) will be placed higher; if DOB is also same, alphabetical order of names will be considered.
