Experience required: 14 years after MD/MS, or 12 years after D.M./M.Ch. (2 or 5-year course after MBBS), or 11 years after a 3-year D.M./M.Ch. Non-Medical Candidates: Master's degree + Doctorate degree from a recognized university + 14 years of teaching/research experience after obtaining the doctorate. Hospital Administration Department: A medical qualification under Schedule I & II or Part II of the Third Schedule of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956, along with MD in Hospital Administration or a Master's Degree in Hospital Administration (MHA) from an MCI recognized institution. Experience varies by post: 14 years (Professor), 10 years (Additional Professor), 6 years (Associate Professor), or 3 years (Assistant Professor) after obtaining the postgraduate degree.
