UPSSSC Forensic Science Laboratory Age Limit 2026 For both Scientific Assistant and Lab Assistant posts, candidates must have attained 21 years of age and must not have attained more than 40 years of age as on 1 July of the calendar year in which vacancies are advertised. Selection is made purely on the basis of the Main (written) Examination. Shortlisting of candidates for the Main Examination is done using the normalized PET-2025 score, category-wise, at 15 times the number of advertised vacancies (including all candidates scoring at or above the final normalized cut-off up to two decimal places). Candidates with a zero or negative actual/normalized PET-2025 score will not be shortlisted. The written examination will consist of a single question paper of 100 objective-type, multiple-choice questions carrying 100 marks, to be completed in 2 hours (120 minutes). Each question carries 1 mark, and there is a negative marking of 25% (1/4 mark) for each wrong answer.
