Eligibility / Qualification

Only female candidates are eligible to apply for these posts. The candidate must be a permanent resident of the ward (urban area) or Gram Panchayat (rural area) corresponding to the vacant post. The residence certificate issued by the Tehsil must mention the Gram Panchayat/village name, or in urban areas, the ward name along with the mohalla name. All selection procedures and terms will follow Government Order No. I/1092245/2025/3313/58-1-2025 (1917687) dated 17.09.2025. A candidate whose family already has one woman appointed as Anganwadi Karyakatri or Anganwadi Sahayika at the same Anganwadi centre will not be appointed to the other post at that same centre. If a selected candidate holds an elected public post (Gram Sabha member, Gram Pradhan, Kshetra Panchayat member, Kshetra Panchayat Adhyaksha, Nagar Palika member, Sabhasad/Parshad, Mahapaur, etc.), she must resign from that post before joining as Anganwadi Karyakatri; failure to do so will lead to cancellation of selection.

Selection Process

Selection will be made purely on the basis of a merit list prepared from educational qualifications (Intermediate as minimum to Postgraduate as maximum). No written examination or interview process is mentioned in the official notification. Preference in selection will be given, as per the order of priority specified in the Government Order, to candidates who are: Widows Divorced women Living below the poverty line (BPL) For widow candidates, the husband's death certificate issued by the Gram Panchayat Officer, or the concerned Nagar Panchayat/Nagar Palika Parishad/Nagar Nigam, along with a certified copy of the family register, will be accepted as valid proof. For divorced/deserted women, only an order issued by a competent court will be accepted as valid proof.
