Such retired employees/pensioners can continue to draw pension and dearness relief on pension during their period of contractual engagement. |

Eligibility / Qualification
Age Limit (as on 03.08.2026) Teaching Faculty (Professor/Associate Professor/Assistant Professor): 69 years (not exceeding) Senior Resident: Up to 45 years Tutor: Up to 40 years The maximum tenure of engagement will be till the candidate attains 70 years of age for teaching faculty, whichever is earlier, provided other rules and regulations are satisfied. Educational Qualification Educational qualifications for all posts are as per NMC (MCI) guidelines, as stipulated in Gazette Notification No. CG-DL-E-05072025-264399 dated 30.06.2025. The notification does not specify post-wise degree requirements beyond this reference; candidates should refer to the applicable NMC regulations for their respective specialty. Other Eligibility Conditions Reservation will be as per Government of India guidelines issued from time to time. As per EWS guidelines, EWS posts are not carried forward. In case of non-availability of an EWS candidate, other category candidates may be allowed provisionally to apply, subject to being considered as UR candidates, with selection made purely on merit. In case of non-availability of reserved category candidates for an advertised post, the vacancy may be filled for less than 45 days as a de-reserved seat. All candidates must have updated Medical Registration (NMC/State Medical Council) for all post-MBBS/MD/MS qualifications. If registration is not updated, candidates must show "Applied for document(s)" proof at the time of interview; failing this, they may not be interviewed, or their result may be withheld. Selected candidates must submit the updated Medical Registration Certificate at the time of joining. Candidates working in Government/Autonomous/Statutory institutions should preferably carry a "No Objection Certificate (NOC)" from their employer at the time of interview; if unavailable, a copy of the "applied for NOC" should be submitted. No private practice is allowed in any capacity after joining as teaching faculty at ESIC Medical College, Pandeypur, Varanasi. Reservation for PH (Divyangjan) candidates will be maintained as per Government of India norms.

Selection Process
Selection will be made on the basis of the candidate's acquired academic credentials and performance in the interview before the Selection Board. The result will be displayed on the website www.esic.gov.in, and the Offer of Appointment will be sent through email. Selected candidates will have to join as per the instructions mentioned in the offer of appointment. The notification does not mention any written examination as part of the selection process; selection is based on academic credentials and interview performance only.
