This recruitment is exclusively for Ex-Servicemen from the Indian Air Force (IAF). Candidates must fulfill all eligibility conditions as on 01.04.2026. The minimum educational qualification is a 3-year Diploma in Electronics Engineering or equivalent. Candidates must have served in the IAF in the rank of Junior Warrant Officer (JWO) or above, with a minimum of 15 years of post-qualification experience. The date of retirement from the IAF must be on or before 01.04.2026. The reservation is 100% for Ex-Servicemen. Candidates currently employed in the Armed Forces who are yet to be discharged must submit documentary proof of their medical category, character, and probable date of discharge. Selection for the post of Senior Assistant Engineer, E-I Grade (Fixed Tenure) will be conducted through a Written Test followed by a Personal Interview. Only candidates who qualify in the written test will be called for the interview in a ratio of 1:7 (as per the vacancy in each category). The candidature at all stages of the selection process is provisional in nature - merely fulfilling the minimum qualification and experience requirements does not guarantee being called for the written test. If the number of eligible applicants is high, the number of candidates to be called for the written test may be restricted based on academic excellence and experience.
