Application Fee
The notifications state that OC and BC candidates with local status of Telangana State must pay the fee "as designated in the Online Application," while SC and ST local candidates pay a concessional fee. Exact fee amounts in rupees are not specified in any of the notifications - the applicable fee will be displayed on the TSLPRB online portal based on the candidate's category and the post(s)/notification(s) applied for. Candidates applying for more than one post among the linked technical notifications (SI Civil, RSI, SPF SI, SFO, Deputy Jailor, ASI FPB, PC Civil, PC Mechanic, PC Driver) issued within 3 months of each other are eligible for a fee rebate on the common Physical Measurement Test/Physical Efficiency Test: ₹50 per additional post (in excess of 1) for Local SC/ST candidates of Telangana ₹100 per additional post (in excess of 1) for all other candidates Fee once paid is non-refundable under any circumstances, including under-age/over-age applications or incomplete submissions.
Selection Process
Selection stages differ slightly depending on the post group. A. SI Civil, RSI, SPF SI, Station Fire Officer & Deputy Jailor (Post Codes 11-14, 16-19) Preliminary Written Test (PWT): One objective paper, 3 hours - Arithmetic & Test of Reasoning/Mental Ability (100 questions) and General Studies (100 questions), 200 marks total. Qualifying marks: 30% OC/EWS, 25% BC, 20% SC/ST/Ex-Servicemen. Physical Measurement Test (PMT) / Physical Efficiency Test (PET): 1600m run (Men)/800m run (Women), height measurement, Long Jump/Shot-put. The run is qualifying only for Post Codes 11, 17, 18, 19, while it carries marks for Post Codes 12, 13, 14, 16. Final Written Examination (FWE): Four papers of 3 hours each - English, Telugu/Urdu (both qualifying), Arithmetic & Test of Reasoning/Mental Ability, and General Studies. Qualifying marks: 40% OC/EWS, 35% BC, 30% SC/ST/Ex-Servicemen per paper. Certificates Verification. Trade Test (Mechanic) / Driving Test (Driver): 100 marks across 10 (Mechanic) or 8 (Driver) technical parameters. Minimum 50 marks overall, with a minimum of 5 marks in each parameter; failing 3 or more parameters disqualifies even if the aggregate minimum is met. Written Examination: Objective Technical Paper, 200 questions, 200 marks, 3 hours. Certificate Verification. Final selection is based on the aggregate of the Trade Test/Driving Test and the Written Examination. Qualifying marks in the Written Examination: 40% OC/EWS, 35% BC, 30% SC/ST/Ex-Servicemen. C. ASI, Fingerprint Bureau (Post Code 33) - No Preliminary Written Test PMT/PET (common stage, see table below).
