Eligibility / Qualification
Post Essential Qualification Medical Officer (UHWC) MBBS Degree awarded by a university or institution recognized by the UGC for the purpose of its grants; course approved by Medical Council of India / NMC; registered in Tamil Nadu Medical Council. Staff Nurse / MLHP (UHWC / Rural) Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery (DGNM) or B.Sc. Nursing from an institution recognized by the Indian Nursing Council. Multi Purpose Health Worker (Health Inspector – Grade II) Must have passed Plus Two with Biology or Botany and Zoology; must have passed Tamil language as a subject in SSLC level; must possess 2-year certificate in Multi Purpose Health Worker (male) / Health Inspector / Sanitary Inspector course from a recognized private institution / Trust / University / Deemed University, including Gandhigram Rural Institute training course certificate granted by the Director of Public Health and Preventive Medicine. Dental Surgeon Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) from Government / Govt.-approved private colleges recognized by Dental Council of India and registered under Tamil Nadu Dental Council. Physiotherapist Bachelor's Degree in Physiotherapy (BPT). Desirable: At least 2 years of experience working in a hospital. Audiologist (Audiologist & Speech Therapists) – GMCH B.Sc. Audiologist; must have passed HSC with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and any one related subject; must have passed a 1-year certificate course in Audiometry from Government Medical Institutions under DME control or any other institution recognized by State or Central Government. Audiometrician / Audiometric Assistant – JDHS Technical person with 1-year Diploma in Hearing, Language and Speech (DHLS) from an RCI-recognized institute. Audiologist & Speech Language Pathologist – JDHS Bachelor in Audiology & Speech Language Pathology / B.Sc. (Speech and Hearing) from an RCI-recognized institute. Early Interventionist cum Special Educator cum Social Worker Post Graduate in Sociology / Social Work or Bachelor in Physiotherapy. Occupational Therapist Bachelor's / Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy from a recognized university. Minimum service period of 2 years is required; contract renewed after every 11 months subject to performance appraisal. Continuance not entertained beyond the end date of the TN-Rights project. Account Assistant B.Com graduate with minimum experience in maintenance of accounts; must have computer skills and be well versed in operating Tally Package. Lab Technician (Grade III) Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology course (2 years duration) conducted by King Institute of Preventive Medicine or any institution recognized by the Government of Tamil Nadu; OR (i) Must have passed +2 Examination AND (ii) Certificate in Medical Laboratory Technology Course (1 year duration) from any institution recognized by the Director of Medical Education AND (iii) Must have good physique, good vision, and capacity to do outdoor work. Counsellor Graduate/Post Graduate degree in Psychology / Social Work / Sociology / Anthropology / Human Development / Nursing with minimum 3 years of experience in HIV/AIDS. (Special concession may be given for PLHIV.) OT Technician / OT Assistant 3-month OT Technician course from a recognized university / institution. Hospital Worker / MPHW / Sanitary Worker / Security 8th Standard passed; should be able to read and write in Tamil.

Selection Process
Selection mode varies by post. Medical Officer (UHWC), Staff Nurse/MLHP, and Multi Purpose Health Worker posts are filled through Non-Interview (merit-based) process. All remaining posts are filled through Interview. For Interview-based posts, shortlisted candidates will be called for certificate verification followed by the interview. Candidates already serving as contractual staff in the vacancy positions will be given priority. For posts already filled, applications received from candidates in the district will be considered; where no such candidate is available in the district, candidates from other districts will be considered as per merit order. For direct recruitment posts (non-interview), merit scores are based on academic qualification marks. For interview posts, the interview committee constituted by the District Health Society will evaluate candidates based on qualifications, experience, and suitability.
