Eligibility / Qualification

Educational Qualification For Senior Computer Instructor: Candidates must hold one of the following qualifications: ME/M.Tech in Computer Science (CS) / Information Technology (IT) / Electronics & Communications Engineering (ECE) / Electrical Engineering (EE) / Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE) / Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering (ETE) / Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering (EIE) M.Sc. in Computer Science (CS) or Information Technology (IT) Master in Computer Application (MCA) / 'B' Level / 'C' Level Any equivalent or higher qualification recognised by the Government For Basic Computer Instructor: Candidates must hold one of the following: Graduate with 'A' Level / PGDCA (minimum one year) BE/B.Tech in Computer Science (CS) / IT / ECE / EE / EEE / Electronic Instrumentation & Control (EIC) / Telecommunications & Instrumentation (TIE) B.Sc. in Computer Science (CS) or Information Technology (IT) Bachelor in Computer Application (BCA) from a university established by law in India Any equivalent or higher qualification recognised by the Government Both posts additionally require working knowledge of Hindi written in Devanagari script and knowledge of Rajasthani culture. Candidates appearing in the final year of the prescribed qualifying examination are also eligible to apply, but they must submit proof of completing the qualification before the written examination date. Ex-servicemen who hold a certificate equivalent to graduation after 15 years of military service are also eligible to apply and may enter 'Not Applicable' in the roll number field and 'N' Grade in the result field during OTR. Age Limit Age is calculated as of 01 January 2027 (the first day of January following the application closing date). Candidates must be a minimum of 18 years and must not have completed 40 years as on 01 January 2027. Important note for Secondary Education Department: All candidates who were age-eligible during the RSSB Senior and Basic Computer Instructor Direct Recruitment 2022 (where age was calculated as of 01-01-2023) are entitled to an additional 3 years of upper age relaxation for the Secondary Education Department posts only (since no recruitment occurred after that cycle). This additional relaxation does not apply to the Sanskrit Education Department posts, as this is their first recruitment. Application Fee

The fee for this recruitment is a One Time Registration (OTR) fee. Candidates who have already paid OTR in a previous recruitment are not required to pay again. Category OTR Fee General / Creamy Layer OBC / Creamy Layer MBC ₹600 Rajasthan Non-Creamy Layer OBC / Non-Creamy Layer MBC / EWS / SC / ST ₹400 All Persons with Disabilities (Divyang) ₹400 Candidates from outside Rajasthan belonging to SC/ST/OBC/MBC/EWS categories are treated as General category for this recruitment and must pay ₹600. Payment can be made through authorised e-Mitra kiosks, Jan Suvidha Kendras (CSC), net banking, ATM-cum-debit card, or credit card. Penalty for absenteeism: Candidates who do not appear in two exams conducted by RSSB/RPSC/any Rajasthan recruitment agency in a single financial year may have their OTR facility blocked. Restoring it the first time costs ₹750; a second block in the same financial year costs ₹1,500.

Selection Process

The selection for both posts follows a computer-based / tablet-based written examination format. The Board may also conduct an OMR-based offline exam; the final mode will be confirmed through the official website. If more than one phase of examination is conducted, a normalisation process will be applied to determine final merit. Examination Scheme Both posts follow a two-paper pattern, with each paper carrying 100 marks (total 200 marks): Paper I (Common for both posts): 100 questions | 100 marks | 2 hours duration Subjects: Art & Culture, History, Geography, General Science, and Current Affairs of Rajasthan; General Ability (Logical Reasoning, Decision Making, General Mental Ability, Basic Numeracy at Class X level, Data Interpretation at Class X level) Negative Marking: 1/3 mark deducted per wrong answer Minimum qualifying marks: 40% (35% for SC/ST candidates) Paper II (Subject-specific): 100 questions | 100 marks | 2 hours duration Negative Marking: 1/3 mark deducted per wrong answer Minimum qualifying marks: 40% (35% for SC/ST candidates) For Senior Computer Instructor, Paper II covers: Pedagogy, Mental Ability, Computer Fundamentals, Programming (C, C++, Java, .Net, AI, ML, Python, Blockchain), Object-Oriented Programming, Data Structures, Digital Logic Systems, Computer Organisation, Operating Systems, DBMS, Software Engineering, Computer Networks, Network Security, Web Development, and Communication Basics. For Basic Computer Instructor, Paper II covers: Pedagogy, Mental Ability, Computer Fundamentals, Data Processing (MS-Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access), Programming Fundamentals (C, C++, Java, .Net, AI, ML, Python, Blockchain), Data Structures, Computer Organisation and OS, Networking, Network Security, DBMS, System Analysis and Design, and Internet of Things (IoT). OMR Special Rule: Each question has five options (A, B, C, D, E). If a candidate leaves a question unattempted, they must darken option E. If more than 10% of questions have none of the five circles darkened, the candidate will be disqualified.
