Eligibility / Qualification

Candidates must be a citizen of India, of good character, of sound health and free from organic defects, able to read, write and speak Odia fluently (with proof via Middle School/Matriculation/Class-VII exam with Odia as subject). If married, must not have more than one spouse living. Application Fee
Candidates are required to pay the examination fee through the online mode only via the Odisha Treasury portal linked with the online application form. Fee once paid will be refunded only to candidates who actually appear in the first stage (Preliminary Examination) of the recruitment. Applications without payment of examination fees (except SC/ST/PwD candidates) will be treated as incomplete and liable for rejection. All candidates must clearly mention their valid/active bank account details in the online application for receiving the refundable fee. Selection Process
The selection process for OSSC Food Safety Officer Recruitment 2026 consists of 3 (three) successive stages – Stage I: Preliminary Examination (150 marks, CBT/OMR, 150 minutes), Stage II: Main Written Examination (200 marks, CBT/OMR, Technical Paper) + Computer Skill Test (qualifying, 50% marks required), and Stage III: Certificate Verification. Candidates failing to appear at any stage will be rejected and will not be included in the merit list. The Commission at its discretion may conduct the examination through OMR or CBRE mode.
