| Salary | Selected candidates will be appointed in Level-12, Cell-1 of the Odisha Revised Scales of Pay (ORSP) Rules, 2017 and will also be entitled to Dearness Allowance (DA) and other admissible allowances as sanctioned by the Government from time to time. |

Eligibility / Qualification
Nationality The candidate must be a citizen of India. Educational Qualification Must possess a BDS or equivalent Degree from a Medical College or Medical Institution recognized by the Dental Council of India (DCI). Must possess a valid Registration Certificate under the Dentist Act, 1948. Candidates having degrees from foreign universities must possess required Conversion Certificates recognized by DCI. Additional Requirements Houseman-ship/Internship Completion Certificate Certificate relating to passing of the screening test conducted by the National Board of Examinations (for candidates from foreign universities) Odia language test pass certificate, or must pass the required Odia examination within 4 years of joining service Odia Language Requirement Candidate must be able to read, write, and speak Odia and must have fulfilled any one of the following: Passed Middle School Examination in Odia as a language subject; OR Passed Matriculation or equivalent examination with Odia as medium of examination in non-language subject; OR Passed in Odia as language subject in the final examination of Class-VII or above; OR Passed a test in Odia in Middle English School standard conducted by the School and Mass Education Department. Proviso: If a candidate has not passed Middle School Examination in Odia as a language subject, he/she shall be required to pass the examination conducted by the Board of Secondary Education, Odisha within 4 years of joining service. Failing this, no further increment will be sanctioned and promotion to Group-A (Senior Branch) will not be allowed.

Selection Process
The selection shall be made on the basis of a Written Test as per the Odisha Medical Services (Method of Recruitment and Conditions of Service of Dental Surgeons) Rules, 2022 along with Amendment Rules, 2025. If two or more candidates secure equal marks, the candidate securing higher marks in the BDS Examination will rank higher. If marks in the BDS Examination are also equal, the candidate older in age will be placed above the younger candidate. The recommendation list shall remain valid for one year from the date of recommendation or till the next recruitment is made by the Commission. A Sports Person must secure the qualifying marks of his/her category for inclusion in the merit list. Answer Key & Result Provisional Answer Keys shall be uploaded on the website within 10 days of examination. Candidates can submit objections/suggestions against the provisional answer key. Candidates who do not challenge the provisional answer key shall forfeit their right to agitate the matter later. Cut-off marks, answer keys, and individual marks will be declared only after publication of the final result and select list.
