Eligibility / Qualification
Understanding the eligibility requirements is essential before applying. The criteria differ slightly between the clerical/typing posts and the Salaried Amin post. For Junior Clerk-cum-Copyist, Stenographer Grade-III & Junior Typist Citizenship: Must be a citizen of India. Educational Qualification: Must have passed at least +3 (graduation) examination or equivalent from a recognized University. Computer Diploma: Must have passed at least a Diploma in Computer Application from a recognized institute. Odia Language: Must be able to speak, read, and write Odia and have passed a test in Odia equivalent to M.E. (Middle English) standard. Character & Health: Must be of good character, sound health, and free from organic defects. Marital Status: Must not have more than one spouse living, if married. Additional requirement for Stenographer Grade-III only: Minimum speed of 80 words per minute in shorthand and 40 words per minute in typewriting through Computer System. Additional requirement for Junior Typist only: Minimum speed of 40 words per minute in English typewriting through Computer System. Government Servants (temporary or permanent) may also apply if they meet qualification and age criteria, but must submit a No Objection Certificate from their Head of Office. For Salaried Amin Must satisfy the common criteria (citizenship, age, Odia language, character, health, marital status, and NOC if a government servant). Educational Qualification: Must have passed matriculation (Class 10) or equivalent from a recognized Board. Must have passed Revenue Inspector Training.

No examination fee is required for any category of candidate. This applies to all four posts - Junior Clerk-cum-Copyist, Stenographer Grade-III, Junior Typist, and Salaried Amin.

Selection Process
The selection process is multi-stage and varies by post. Candidates shortlisted based on a career merit list are called for a written test, followed by skill tests and a viva-voce. Stage 1 - Career Merit List After applications are received, merit lists are prepared in descending order of total percentage of marks in HSC + 2 + 3 (or equivalent) examinations, separately for General and Reserved categories. Candidates up to twenty times the actual vacancy in each category are called for the written test. For Junior Clerk-cum-Copyist Part Subject Max Marks Duration Part-1 (Written) English 100 2 Hours Part-1 (Written) Arithmetic 100 1 Hour Part-1 (Written) General Knowledge 100 1 Hour Part-2 Computer Science Test (Practical) 100 1 Hour Part-3 Viva-Voce 45 - Candidates must score minimum 35% in each written paper to qualify for the Computer Practical Test. Cut-off for Computer Practical: 50% for General/other categories; 40% for SC/ST. Candidates who clear Practical are called for Viva-Voce. For Stenographer Grade-III Part Subject Max Marks Duration Part-1 English (Qualifying) 100 2 Hours Part-2 English Shorthand & Typewriting Test 50 5 + 10 minutes Part-3 Computer Science Test (Practical) 100 1 Hour Part-4 Viva-Voce 35 - Minimum 35% in English written test to qualify for Shorthand/Typewriting. Minimum 55% (General) / 50% (SC/ST) in Skill Test to qualify for Computer Practical. Skill Test: A 400-word passage is dictated in 5 minutes; candidates transcribe it via Computer System in 10 minutes. For Junior Typist Part Subject Max Marks Duration Part-1 English (Qualifying) 100 2 Hours Part-2 English Typewriting Test 50 10 minutes Part-3 Computer Science Test (Practical) 100 1 Hour Part-4 Viva-Voce 35 - Minimum 35% in English to qualify for Typewriting Test. Minimum 55% (General) / 50% (SC/ST) in Typewriting Test to qualify for Computer Practical. Skill Test: A 400-word passage is given; candidates must reproduce it by typing through Computer System in 10 minutes. For Salaried Amin Part Subject Marks Duration Part-I English & Odia 100 2 Hours Part-I Arithmetic 100 1 Hour Part-I Technical Knowledge in Survey & Settlement (Theory) 100 1 Hour Part-II Technical Knowledge in Survey & Settlement (Practical) 50 45 Minutes Part-III Viva-Voce 25 - Must score 35% in each Part-I paper to qualify for Part-II (Practical).
