Eligibility / Qualification

Candidates must be citizens of India and satisfy the educational, age, and physical eligibility conditions given below for the post they wish to apply for. Junior Clerk-cum-Copyist / Stenographer Grade III / Junior Typist – Educational Qualification Passed at least a +3 Examination (or an equivalent qualification) from a recognized university. Passed at least a Diploma in Computer Application from a recognized institute. Able to speak, read, and write Odia, and passed a test in Odia equivalent to the M.E. Standard. For Junior Typist: minimum typing speed of 40 words per minute in English Type Writing. For Stenographer Grade-III: minimum speed of 80 words per minute in shorthand and 40 words per minute in English Type Writing. Salaried Amin – Educational Qualification Passed the matriculation examination or an equivalent examination from a recognized Board. Passed the Revenue Inspector Training from a Government/recognized institution. Possess knowledge in computer. Common Eligibility Conditions (All Posts) Must be of good character and sound health, with good physique and free from organic defect or communicable disease. Must not have more than one spouse living, if married. Must have registered his/her name in an Employment Exchange. No criminal proceeding should be pending against the candidate. Candidates already working under the State or Central Government must inform their Head of Office and obtain a "No Objection Certificate" before applying.

Selection Process

Selection for each post is made through a Written Examination, a Skill/Computer Science Test, and a Viva-Voce Test. The written examination for all posts will be conducted on the same day. (A) Junior Clerk-cum-Copyist – Scheme of Examination Part Subject Marks Duration Part I English (+3 Standard) 100 2 hours Arithmetic 100 1 hour General Knowledge 100 1 hour Part II Computer Science Test (Practical) 100 1 hour Part III Viva-Voce Test 45 -- Candidates securing at least 35% marks in each written paper will be called for the Computer Science Test, up to ten times the vacancy in each category. The qualifying cut-off in the Computer Science Test is 50% for General/other category candidates and 40% for SC/ST candidates. (B) Junior Typist – Scheme of Examination S. Each correctly typed word is awarded 0.125 marks; wrong spelling, substitution, repetition, or wrong punctuation counts as a mistake. The Computer Science Test cut-off is 50% for General/other category and 40% for SC/ST candidates. (C) Stenographer Grade-III – Scheme of Examination S. Qualifying and cut-off criteria are the same as for Junior Typist. (D) Salaried Amin – Scheme of Examination Part Subject Marks Duration Part I English 100 2 hours Arithmetic (10th Standard) 100 1 hour Technical Knowledge in Survey and Settlement (Theory) 50 1 hour Part II Technical Knowledge in Survey and Settlement (Practical) 50 1 hour Part III Computer (Practical Test) 50 30 minutes Part IV Viva-Voce Test 30 -- Candidates securing a minimum of 35% marks in each Part-I subject qualify for Part-II. The cut-off for Part-II (Practical) is 50% for General/other category and 40% for SC/ST candidates. The same cut-off applies for the Part-III Computer Practical Test. Detailed English & Arithmetic Syllabus English: Essay writing, letter/application writing, translation of an Odia passage into English, translation of an English passage into Odia, and summary writing (allocation of marks differs slightly by post). Arithmetic: Vulgar fractions and decimals, H.C.F. and L.C.M., simple and compound interest, simple and compound practice, percentage, profit and loss, mixtures, partnership, averages, rates and taxes, insurance, square and cubic measures, and problems on time-and-work and time-and-distance. General Knowledge: Current events and everyday matters expected of an educated person. Computer Science Test (Practical): Paragraph formatting, table insertion, printing and saving files, file transfer, website browsing/downloading, e-mail use, pen-drive use, and basic accounting software. Viva-Voce: Assesses the candidate's alertness, general outlook, and suitability for the post.
