Age LimitThe calculation of age for the contractual year shall be on the date of publishing of the advertisement. Minimum Age: 18 Years (as on 01/10/2025). Maximum Age (Open Category): 38 Years. Maximum Age (Reserved Category): 43 Years. Maximum Age for Nursing and Paramedical Staff (NHM): 64 Years for entry; 65 Years for end of contractual service. Age limit for end of contractual service: 65 years for Nursing and Paramedical staff (as per NHM Circular dated 28.05.2019). No age bar for employees already working under NHM who wish to apply for another post within NHM. Applicants above 60 years must produce a physical fitness certificate certified by a Civil Surgeon (Annexure I-2, NHM Circular dated 29.9.2018). All NHM employees should not have any administrative, financial, penal, criminal, or any other type of serious proceedings against them during previous government service (Annexure 1-2, NHM Circular dated 29.9.2018). Age relaxation applicable for reserved category candidates as per Government of Maharashtra rules. Proof of age: Self-attested photocopy of Birth Certificate / School Leaving Certificate / SSC Mark Sheet must be attached with the application.

Application Fee

Application fee must be paid by attaching a Demand Draft (DD) of a Nationalised Bank along with the application (Hard Copy mode). Open Category Candidates: Rs. 750/- (Demand Draft of Nationalised Bank). Reserved Category Candidates: Rs. 500/- (Demand Draft of Nationalised Bank). DD must be drawn in favour of: "INTEGRATED HEALTH AND FAMILY WELFARE SOCIETY" Applications received without a valid Demand Draft will not be considered. Application fee is Non-Refundable. The DD amount must correspond to the post applied for.

Selection Process

All rights to determine the selection process for this contractual recruitment are reserved with the Commissioner, Thane Municipal Corporation, Thane. Candidates will be evaluated and scored out of a total of 100 marks as per the following merit scoring system: Marks in Required Qualifying Exam (Final Year) – Maximum 50 Marks: Proportion of total marks obtained will be calculated out of 50. (Example: If 60% marks obtained, Proportion = 60 × 50 / 100 = 30 marks) Additional Educational Qualification above required qualification (in same subject) – Maximum 20 Marks: Proportion of marks in additional qualification will be calculated out of 20. (Example: If 60% in additional qualification, Proportion = 60 × 20 / 100 = 12 marks) Relevant Work Experience – Maximum 30 Marks: 6 marks per year of experience (maximum 30 marks for 5 or more years of experience). After preparation of the merit list, candidates will be called for document verification in a ratio of 1:3 against the number of available posts. Candidates absent on the date of document verification will be declared ineligible and removed from the merit list. Absent candidates cannot claim any right for selection. The Commissioner, Thane Municipal Corporation, Thane reserves all rights to change the selection process if needed.
