Eligibility / Qualification

Age Limit Candidates must be minimum 18 years and maximum 25 years as on 01/01/2027. Only candidates born between 01/01/2002 and 01/01/2009 (both dates inclusive) are eligible. Candidates born on or before 31/12/2001 or on or after 02/01/2009 are not eligible. No age relaxation is available for any community. Educational Qualification Level Educational Qualification Level 5/4 Graduation in any faculty from a recognized University Level 3/2 Passed 12th (+2 stage) or equivalent from a recognized Board; OR Matriculation plus Course Completed Act Apprenticeship; OR Matriculation plus ITI approved by NCVT/SCVT Level-1 10th pass from a recognized Board, or ITI, or equivalent, or National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) granted by NCVT Candidates possessing higher qualifications must produce the graduation/post-graduation certificate at the time of Document Verification and Trial. Candidates appointed as Clerk-cum-Typist must acquire typing proficiency (30 wpm English or 25 wpm Hindi) within four years of appointment. Sports Achievement / Eligibility Norms For Level 5/4 (any one of the following): Represented the country in Olympic Games (Senior Category) At least 3rd position in World Cup (Junior/Youth/Senior) At least 3rd position in World Championships (Junior/Senior) At least 3rd position in Asian Games (Senior) At least 3rd position in Commonwealth Games (Senior) At least 3rd position in Youth Olympics At least 3rd position in Champions Trophy (Hockey) For Level 3/2 (any one of the following): Represented in World Cup, World Championships, Asian Games, Commonwealth Games, Youth Olympics, or Champions Trophy (Hockey) At least 3rd position in Commonwealth Championships (Junior/Senior) At least 3rd position in Asian Championships/Asia Cup (Junior/Senior) At least 3rd position in South Asian Federation Games (Senior) At least 3rd position in USIC (World Railways) Championships (Senior) At least 3rd position in World University Games At least 3rd position in Senior/Youth/Junior National Championships At least 3rd position in National Games under the Indian Olympic Association At least 3rd position in All India Inter University Championship (Association of Indian Universities) 1st position in Federation Cup Championships (Senior Category) For Level-1 (any one of the following): Represented the country in Commonwealth Championships, Asian Championships/Asia Cup, South Asian Federation (SAF) Games, USIC (World Railways) Championships, or World University Games At least 3rd position in Federation Cup Championships (Senior Category) Represented a State or equivalent unit, with at least 8th position in Senior National Championships (except Marathon and Cross Country) At least 3rd position in Senior/Youth/Junior National Championships All championships must be conducted under recognized International/National/State Sports Federations and recognized by the Railway Sports Promotion Board (RSPB). Only Senior National and Junior National Championships are considered — rural meets, festival meets, and similar tournaments are not counted. Sports performance is assessed only for events held on or after 01/04/2024. As per RBE 118/2025 dated 24/11/2025, certificates must be issued by NSFs recognized by MoYAS at the time of the championship. Additional Discipline-Specific Norms Athletics (Men/Women): Gold medal in Open National Championships (Senior), Inter State Athletics Championships (Senior), or Asian Championships (Senior) may be considered for GP-2800/2400; medal-winning performance in National Inter State Senior Athletics Championships may be considered for GP-1900 (Level-2) posts. Cricket (Men): Level 5/4 requires India-A/India U-19 representation in 2 Test/ODI/T20 matches; Level 3/2 requires quarter-finalist status or participation in specified All India Inter-State/Inter-Zonal championships; Level-1 requires pre-quarter-finalist status in Senior/U-23/U-19 All India Inter State Championships. Hockey (Men): Participation in international tournaments of four or more nations, or semifinalist status in Senior National Championships, may be considered for GP-1900/2000 posts. Application Fee

Category Fee Refund Provision All candidates except category below ₹500 ₹400 refunded (after bank charges) to eligible candidates who appear for the Trial SC/ST, Ex-servicemen, Women, Minorities, Economically Backward Class ₹250 Full amount refunded (after bank charges) to eligible candidates who appear for the Trial Fee must be paid online via Debit Card, Credit Card, or Internet Banking as part of the application process; no edits are allowed after payment. Fee paid by ineligible candidates who still apply will not be refunded. Candidates applying for more than one game/event must submit separate applications with separate fees and attend all trials separately. Fee Exemption Categories Minority candidates (Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, Buddhists, Zoroastrians/Parsis): must submit a self-declaration (Annexure-A) at the time of selection trials and later furnish a minority community declaration affidavit on non-judicial stamp paper. Economically Backward Classes (EBC): family income less than ₹50,000 per annum, with an income certificate (Annexure-B format) issued by an authorized officer (District Magistrate/Revenue Officer up to Tehsildar, sitting MP, or equivalent) produced at DV and Trial.
