SalaryCandidates selected through Ordnance Factory Bhandara Technician Apprentice Recruitment 2026 will be engaged as Technician Apprentices for a fixed training period and will be paid a monthly stipend as per Apprentices Act provisions. Stipend Amount: The stipend for Technician Apprentice (Diploma) at Ordnance Factory Bhandara is Rs. 10,900/- per month for the entire duration of the apprenticeship training. Training Period: The period of Apprenticeship Training for Technician Apprentices is one year. During this period, apprentices will be governed by the Apprentices Act 1961 (as amended) and applicable rules of Board of Apprenticeship Training (BOAT), Western Region. No Employment Guarantee: On completion of the one-year Apprenticeship Training, no employment in Ordnance Factory Bhandara is guaranteed. The apprenticeship is purely for training purposes and does not confer any right to regular job in the factory.

Eligibility / Qualification

Candidates applying for Ordnance Factory Bhandara Technician Apprentice Recruitment 2026 must ensure that they satisfy all the eligibility conditions related to age, educational qualification and apprenticeship norms as on the crucial date 15th April 2026. Educational Qualification: Applicants must have a full-time Diploma in Engineering or Technology in the relevant branch (Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical or Electronics) granted by a State Council or Board of Technical Education, a recognized University, or an institute recognized by the State or Central Government as equivalent. Candidates who have completed their Diploma through regular (full-time) mode only are eligible for Ordnance Factory Bhandara Technician Apprentice Training 2026. Diploma Passing Date Condition: Candidates must have completed their Diploma in Engineering/Technology on or after 15th April 2021. Diploma holders who have completed their qualification before 15th April 2021 are not eligible for Ordnance Factory Bhandara Technician Apprentice Recruitment 2026. Age Limit: The minimum age limit to undergo Technician Apprenticeship Training at Ordnance Factory Bhandara is 14 years, and there is no upper age limit under the Apprentices Act. However, candidates between 14 to 18 years are minors and therefore cannot sign the apprenticeship contract themselves; their apprenticeship contracts must be signed by their guardians. No Prior Training/Experience: Diploma holders who have undergone training or have job experience for a period of one year or more after attaining the Diploma qualification are not eligible to be engaged as Technician Apprentices under this Ordnance Factory Bhandara Apprentice Notification 2026. Gap Limit Between Diploma and Training: A candidate is not eligible to undergo apprenticeship training if the gap between completion of Diploma and commencement of training is more than five years. Therefore, only candidates whose Diploma is completed within five years from the crucial date (i.e. on or after 15th April 2021) can apply for Ordnance Factory Bhandara Technician Apprentice Recruitment 2026. Graduates/Postgraduates Not Eligible: Candidates who have completed Graduate or Post Graduate qualifications after their Diploma (such as B.E./B.Tech or higher) are not eligible for Technician Apprentice Training at Ordnance Factory Bhandara. Other Apprenticeship Conditions: Candidates who have already undergone Graduate or Technician Apprenticeship under the Apprentices Act and whose apprenticeship contract was terminated for any reason are not eligible to be engaged again without prior approval of the Apprenticeship Adviser. Sandwich course students will also not be eligible after passing their final examination unless specifically approved by the Regional Central Apprenticeship Adviser.

Selection Process

The Ordnance Factory Bhandara Technician Apprentice Recruitment 2026 selection process is strictly merit-based and does not involve any written test or interview. Merit List on Diploma Marks: Selection will be based on a merit list prepared from the marks obtained in the final year examination of the Diploma, taking the aggregate of all years/semesters into account. In case of CGPA/SGPA grading, candidates must attach appropriate conversion documents from their institute to calculate equivalent percentage; otherwise, their candidature will be disqualified. No Test or Interview: There will be no written test or interview for selection of Technician Apprentices at Ordnance Factory Bhandara. Shortlisting is purely on the basis of Diploma marks and fulfilment of eligibility criteria. Document Verification & Medical Examination: Candidates shortlisted from the merit list will be called for Document Verification, where their certificates, mark sheets, caste category, PwBD status and eligibility conditions will be thoroughly checked. After successful verification, they will have to undergo a Medical Examination and also furnish a Police Verification Report and Character Certificates from two Gazetted Officers as per notification. Registration of Apprenticeship Contract: Selected candidates must enter into an apprenticeship contract with Ordnance Factory Bhandara, which will be registered with Board of Apprenticeship Training (BOAT), Western Region, Mumbai for the prescribed training period under the Apprentices Act 1961.
