Selection Process
Candidates will be selected based on the following process as specified in the official notification: Online Written Examination: A single objective-type question paper of 100 marks will be conducted online. The paper consists of two sections: (a) General Knowledge, General Hindi, General English, General Mathematics, General Science & General Aptitude — 25 marks; (b) Technical/Trade-based questions — 75 marks. Duration: 2 hours per shift. Negative Marking: 0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer. Normalisation: Results will be prepared using the Normalised Equi-Percentile (NEP) scaling technique in case the exam is held in multiple shifts. Merit List: Candidates will be shortlisted based on percentile scores obtained in the written examination. Document Verification: Selected candidates' documents (educational, technical, professional qualifications) will be verified by the concerned recruiting department. Medical Examination: Candidates must be physically and mentally fit as per the requirements of the post. Note: MP-ESB is responsible only for conducting the written examination and declaring its result. All subsequent appointment procedures including document verification and issuing of appointment orders will be carried out by the respective recruiting departments.
