Selection Process
The Indian Navy SSC selection process 2026 is a multi-stage procedure that begins with shortlisting based on normalised marks and culminates in a merit list after SSB interview and medical examination. Understanding each stage will help candidates prepare strategically for this defence government job. Stage 1 – Shortlisting for SSB Interview Shortlisting will be done using formulae mentioned on the Indian Navy website (https://www.joinindiannavy.gov.in/files/normalisation.pdf). Marks obtained by candidates in the qualifying degree will be considered for SSB shortlisting. BE/B.Tech candidates: Marks obtained up to the fifth semester will be considered. For candidates in the final year, shortlisting will be based on final-year performance. Post-Graduate Degree Programme candidates: For those who have completed MSc, MCA, MBA, M.Tech, marks obtained in all semesters will be considered. Stage 2 – SSB Interview Shortlisted candidates will be informed about their selection for SSB interview through e-mail or SMS. Candidates are advised not to change their e-mail/mobile number till selection process is over and to check their inbox and spam folder periodically. Change of SSB Centre for interview is not permissible under any circumstances. Stage 3 – Medical Examination SSB-recommended candidates will be required to inform their final result of their respective degree to the Indian Navy at [email protected] prior to 20 June 2027.
