Eligibility / Qualification

Candidates must fulfill all eligibility conditions as on the closing date of online application (01-06-2026). Only unmarried Indian citizens are eligible to apply. Candidates must have minimum 60% marks in English in Class X or Class XII. The qualifying degree must be from a University incorporated by an Act of Central or State Legislature in India, or educational institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared deemed Universities/Autonomous Universities under UGC Act 1956, IIT Act 1961, AICTE Act 1987, NITSER Act 2007, or IIIT Act 2014. Foreign university degrees are also accepted if the institution is recognised by the Government of India or holds an Engineering Degree equivalence certificate from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU Act 1973). Candidates in the final year of their qualifying degree (regular/integrated) are also eligible to apply. Candidates selected in the final merit list must submit proof of completing the qualifying degree with minimum 60% marks by emailing [email protected] by June 2026. Failure to do so will result in non-permission to join INA, Ezhimala. Selection Process

The selection process for Indian Navy SSC IT Officer Recruitment 2026 consists of 3 stages - Shortlisting based on normalised marks in qualifying degree, SSB Interview, and Medical Examination. There is no written examination. Marks obtained in the qualifying degree will be normalised using formulae available at https://www.joinindiannavy.gov.in/files/normalisation.pdf. The final merit list is prepared based on SSB marks. Candidates declared fit in the medical examination will be appointed subject to police verification, character verification, and availability of vacancies. Mere inclusion in the Select List/Merit list does not confer a vested right to appointment. Empanelment is not to be treated as final selection and is not an enforceable claim to the post.
