Candidates must be Indian citizens. For Kalyana Karnataka local cadre posts (KSRP, KSISF, IRB), candidates must possess a valid local candidature certificate as per the Karnataka Public Employment (Reservation for Local Candidates in Hyderabad-Karnataka Region) Rules, 2013, issued under Article 371(J) of the Constitution. A woman candidate who has more than one living spouse, or a male candidate married to a woman who already has a living husband, is not eligible unless prior permission has been obtained from the Government. Written Examination: Offline OMR-based exam on General Studies and Mental Ability - 100 questions, 100 marks, duration 1 hour 30 minutes (90 minutes). Physical Standard Test (PST): Candidates shortlisted in a 1:5 ratio per category/post, based on written exam marks, undergo height, chest, and weight measurement. Physical Endurance Test (PET): Qualifying in nature; no marks are awarded for PET, but candidates must clear the prescribed run, jump, and shot-put standards. Medical Examination: Conducted by a Medical Board on vision, hearing, and other physical fitness parameters. Final Merit List: Prepared based on written exam marks of candidates who qualify PST, PET, and the medical test. Negative Marking 0.25 marks are deducted for each wrong answer. If a candidate marks more than one answer for a question, or erases/overwrites an answer such that it becomes legible only after being read within 5 minutes of the OMR sheet being read by the scanner, it is treated as a wrong answer and 0.25 marks are deducted; if the erasure is illegible, no deduction is made for that question.
