Eligibility / Qualification

Applying without meeting the criteria will result in rejection. Age Limit The general age requirement for the MTS post is 18 to 25 years, with the last date of receipt of application being the cut-off date for age calculation. Age Relaxation Available: Category Age Relaxation OBC 3 years SC / ST 5 years Physically Handicapped (PH) - General 10 years PH - OBC 13 years PH - SC/ST 15 years Ex-Servicemen Deduction of actual military service + 3 years (if resultant age does not exceed max by more than 3 years) Departmental Employees - UR 40 years Departmental Employees - SC/ST 45 years Important: UR/OBC candidates applying against unreserved posts are not entitled to any age relaxation on account of experience. Educational Qualification The post of MTS requires the following qualifications: Essential: Matriculation (Class 10 pass) or equivalent qualification from a recognized University or Board. Desirable: One year of experience as a Watchman, Lascar, Gestetner Operator, or Gardener from any recognized Organization or Institute. Meeting only the essential qualification does not guarantee a call for the written test. Nationality Applicants must be eligible Indian citizens as per the provisions applicable to Central Government recruitment. Selection Process

The IAF MTS recruitment follows a clearly defined selection process. Knowing each stage in advance helps candidates prepare effectively and avoid being eliminated at any step. Stage 1 - Application Scrutiny All applications received will be examined for age limit compliance, minimum educational qualification, required documents, and certificates. Only eligible candidates will be shortlisted for the written test. Stage 2 - Written Test Eligible shortlisted candidates will be called for a written test. The selection of candidates will be based purely on performance in the written test — no interview is conducted. Written Test Syllabus covers four areas: General Intelligence and Reasoning Numerical Aptitude General English General Awareness The question-cum-answer paper will be available in both English and Hindi. Stage 3 - Document Verification Shortlisted candidates after the written test must bring original certificates and copies of the annexure attached with the application at the time of document verification. Important: Candidates are required to bring original certificates of SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwBD/ESM, educational qualifications, technical qualifications, and experience at every stage of recruitment. The crucial date for determining validity of documents is on or before the last date of receipt of application.
