(Electronics) / M.Sc. (Computer Science). Note: Candidates possessing higher qualifications viz. M.Tech. in the prescribed disciplines are also eligible. Colour Vision / Binocular Vision The applicant must be capable of distinguishing principal colours and should have binocular vision. OBC (NCL) Certificate validity OBC (NCL) certificate should have been issued on or after 01.04.2026 by the competent authority, containing date of issue, name of caste spelled exactly as in Central Government list, and the Village/Town where the candidate ordinarily resides. EWS Certificate validity Income and Asset Certificate (EWS) should have been issued on or after 01.04.2026 by the competent authority in prescribed format (as per DoPT OM No. 36039/1/2019–Estt (Res) dated 31/01/2019). Candidates are required to pay the prescribed examination fee through online mode only (Internet Banking, Credit Card, Debit Card) on the BSNL External Exam portal (www.externalexam.bsnl.co.in). Fee once paid will NOT be refunded under any circumstances nor can it be held in reserve for any other examination or selection. Additionally, a challenge/grievance window fee of Rs. 400/- per question/answer key is charged post-examination (non-refundable). Selection will be based on Computer Based Multiple Choice Objective Type Test (CBT). All candidates will be given a score based on their performance in the CBT. A final merit list will be prepared based on total marks obtained across all three sections. Selected candidates will go for document verification and medical examination. Appearance in the final merit list does not confer any right for appointment — a final offer letter will be issued only after successful completion of all pre-appointment formalities. For each wrong answer: -1 Mark (Negative Marking). The standard of engineering papers will be that of Engineering Degree Examination of an Indian University. In the General Ability Test, special attention will be paid to assess the candidate's capacity for general awareness, at the level expected of an Engineering Graduate. If the examination is held in multiple sessions, normalization of marks will be adopted. Minimum Qualifying Marks: For UR/OBC (CL) candidates — minimum 40% in each section and minimum 50% overall across all three sections combined. For SC/ST/OBC (NCL)/PwBD/EWS candidates — minimum 35% in each section and minimum 45% overall. Candidates not meeting sectional or overall minimum qualifying marks will not be included in the merit list. The final merit list will be prepared based on total marks in all three sections combined, subject to minimum qualifying marks criteria being met. Stage 2 – Document Verification Candidates in the declared merit list will be called for document verification. Date and venue will be intimated in due course. All original certificates along with self-attested photocopies must be produced at the time of document verification. Stage 3 – Medical Examination Appointment of selected candidates will be subject to their passing the Company's Medical Examination as per standards laid down by BSNL.
