Eligibility / Qualification

Educational Qualification (Applicable to All Trades) First-class (60%) marks in the respective ITI trade, along with a National Trade Certificate (NTC) issued by the National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT) Completion of Apprenticeship with a National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) in the respective trade issued by the Directorate General of Training (DGT) Candidates must have completed the ITI course under the Conventional Training Pattern of the Craftsmen Training Scheme as a regular candidate Candidates from SC/ST/PwD categories get a 5% relaxation in the minimum qualifying percentage, meaning they need only 55% instead of 60% in their respective trade. Age Limit (As on 10.07.2026) Category Upper Age Limit GEN/EWS 29 Years SC/ST 34 Years OBC 32 Years Candidates asking about age relaxation can note that SC/ST candidates get a 5-year relaxation and OBC candidates get a 3-year relaxation over the General age limit. Selection Process

Candidates wondering how BEML will select Operators for these 362 posts can note that the process involves a Computer Based Written Test, document verification, and a pre-employment medical examination, conducted broadly in the sequence below. Computer Based Written Test: Conducted over 2 hours, with three parts — Part-I: 20 questions on General Awareness, Part-II: 20 questions on English & Reasoning, Part-III: 60 questions on the concerned Discipline. Each question carries 1 mark, and there is no negative marking. Result and Shortlisting: The qualifying mark is fixed at 45%, relaxed to 40% (5% relaxation) for SC/ST/PwD candidates. Shortlisting is done purely on written test performance. Document Verification: Candidates are called in order of merit, limited to the number of positions notified per trade/category, where original certificates and one set of self-attested photocopies must be produced. Travelling Allowance: Candidates who qualify document verification are reimbursed Sleeper Class/II Class train or bus fare by the shortest route, on production of proof of travel. Provisional Offer and Medical Examination: Candidates clearing document verification receive a Provisional Offer and must undergo a pre-employment medical examination, with no relaxation in health standards. Final Offer of Engagement: Issued only after a satisfactory medical report is received from the Company's doctor.
