Selection Process
The selection process for JSSC JTGLCCE-2026 consists of two stages of Computer Based Test (CBT). The exam will be conducted in OMR/CBT mode. If candidates appearing are fewer than 50,000, the Preliminary Exam may be skipped and the Main Exam conducted directly. Examination Pattern Preliminary Examination (Prelims) Duration: 2 Hours | Total Questions: 120 MCQs | Each correct answer: 3 marks | Each wrong answer: -1 mark Subject No. of Questions General Studies 30 Jharkhand State General Knowledge 60 General Mathematics 10 General Science 10 Mental Ability 10 Total 120 Main Examination The Main Exam consists of 3 Papers: Paper Subject Duration Questions Paper-1 Hindi Language Knowledge 2 Hours 100 MCQs (Hindi Unseen Passage: 70 Qs + Hindi Grammar: 30 Qs) Paper-2 Tribal & Regional Language (optional from 12 languages) 2 Hours 100 MCQs Paper-3 Technical / Special Subject + General Studies - 150 MCQs (100 Technical + 20 General Studies + 10 Science + 10 Mathematics + 10 Mental Ability) Merit List: Final merit list is prepared based on combined normalised marks of Paper-2 and Paper-3 of the Main Exam.
