There is no upper age bar for internal applicants of SJVN. SJVN Experience Requirements All posts require relevant post-qualification executive experience in Erection/Commissioning and/or Operation & Maintenance (O&M) of Coal-based Thermal Power Plants, including specific experience in Super Critical Thermal Power Plants of minimum 660 MW capacity. Level Minimum Total Experience Minimum Super Critical TPP (660MW+) Experience E8(a) - Chief General Manager 27 years 8 years E4 - Deputy Manager 7 years 3 years E2 - Engineer 3 years 1 year SC/ST candidates get a relaxation of one year in total experience where the requirement is more than three years. Additional criteria for candidates from Government/CPSE background: Should be working in the equivalent IDA pay scale for at least the last 4 years (E8(a): Rs. 1,20,000-3%-2,80,000; E4/E2: Rs. 60,000-3%-1,80,000 or equivalent). Additional criteria for candidates from Private Sector: CTC should not be less than Rs. 27 Lakhs per annum for E8(a) posts, and not less than Rs. 13.62 Lakhs per annum for E4/E2 posts. Candidate should be working in a reputed organization having a minimum annual turnover of Rs. 2,500 Crore or more (average of the three audited financial years preceding the current year). Teaching experience, internship, apprenticeship, and pre-qualification experience will not be counted towards the required experience. Periods of sabbatical leave and extraordinary leave will also not be counted. Application Fee
Application fee: Rs. 500 plus GST @ 18% (non-refundable), to be paid online. SC/ST/PwBD/ESM/EWS candidates are exempted from payment of the application fee. The application process is treated as complete only after submission of the application fee (where applicable). Application fee is non-refundable even if the candidature is rejected for any reason.
Selection Process
Scrutiny of applications based on the job specifications. SJVN Management reserves the right to conduct a screening test to restrict the number of candidates called for the Personal Interview, if required. If conducted, the screening test is qualifying in nature only (50% qualifying marks for UR/EWS/ESM and 40% for other reserved categories) and carries no weightage in the final merit list. Document verification of shortlisted candidates. Personal Interview - final selection and merit list are based purely on marks secured in the interview. Qualifying marks in the interview: 50% for UR/EWS/ESM and 40% for SC/ST/PwBD/OBC (NCL). Candidates have the option to appear for the Personal Interview in Hindi or English. Experienced candidates with experience beyond the prescribed minimum may be considered for service weightage by the Selection Committee. Candidates who qualify in the Personal Interview will be adjudged suitable for empanelment, and the offer of appointment will be issued in order of category-wise merit, subject to requirement and medical fitness.
