| Salary | Selected candidates will be engaged on a fixed monthly consolidated honorarium of Rs. 25,000/- for a period of five (5) years. The engagement is purely temporary; the Assistant Staff Nurse (ASN) will not be a Government employee and shall have no right to regularization/engagement against the posts of Staff Nurse or any similar designation in the State of HP. The competent authority may, on a need basis, enhance the engagement period in the larger public interest. As per the governing policy, the State Government may, by notification, enhance the fixed honorarium considering various factors as it may deem fit. | Age Limit | As per the advertisement, the minimum age is 21 years and the maximum age is 45 years, reckoned as on 01.01.2026. Upper age relaxation of up to five (5) years is admissible for candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Other Backward Classes, Persons with Disabilities who are domiciles of Himachal Pradesh, and for employees of the Himachal Pradesh Government and Ex-servicemen of Himachal Pradesh, as permissible under general or special orders of the Department of Personnel, Government of Himachal Pradesh. Note on source discrepancy: The governing policy document (Notification No. HFW-B-A04/5/2025-Health-B-301504 dated 06.11.2025, Annexure "A") separately states an age band of 21 to 32 years for the Assistant Staff Nurse engagement scheme in general. However, the specific recruitment advertisement (No. 12/2026) explicitly prescribes 21–45 years reckoned as on 01.01.2026 for this recruitment cycle. Eligibility / Qualification
Applicant must be a female candidate only. Applicant must be a Himachali Bonafide. Applicant must be registered with HPNRC, Shimla-06 (Himachal Pradesh Nurses Registration Council). The candidate must have passed Matriculation and 10+2 from a school/institution situated within Himachal Pradesh. This condition does not apply to Bonafide Himachalis.

Selection Process
Selection will be made through a Computer Based Test (CBT)/written screening test of 120 marks, of 1½ hours (one and a half hours) duration, or as decided by the Aayog. The test will consist of 120 multiple-choice questions, with each question carrying 1 mark. Syllabus: Subjects/fields up to the level of the prescribed essential qualification(s) as notified in the advertisement. General Knowledge, including General Knowledge of Himachal Pradesh and Current Affairs. Everyday Science, Logical Reasoning, Social Science, General English & General Hindi of Matric Standard. Minimum Qualifying Marks: 45% for General category candidates and 40% for Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe/Other Backward Classes/Wards of Freedom Fighters candidates. If the number of candidates securing the prescribed percentage is less than the number of advertised posts, the Aayog may relax the qualifying percentage by a maximum of 5%, i.e., up to 40% for General category and 35% for SC/ST/OBC/WFF categories, for reasons to be recorded in writing. In case of a multiple-shift CBT examination, scores will be normalized using the Z-Score Method (Mean and Standard Deviation Method) for preparation of the merit list. The mode of examination may be Computer Based Test (CBT) or OMR, at the discretion of the Aayog.
