Eligibility / Qualification
Who Can Apply (PwBD Category) Only Person with Benchmark Disability (PwBD) candidates are eligible to apply. The suitable disabilities for this post are: Low Vision (LV) – 40% to 70% disability Hard of Hearing (HH) – 40% to 70% disability One Arm (OA) One Leg (OL) Dwarfism (D) Leprosy Cured (LC) Acid Attack Victim (AAV) Specific Learning Disability (SLD) Spinal Injury (SI) Spinal Deformity (SD) As per rules, a minimum of 40% disability is required for consideration under the PwBD quota. Applications and appointments will be considered as per the company's rules. PGVCL Vidyut Sahayak Educational Qualification B.A., B.Com, B.Sc., B.C.A., or B.B.A. through Regular, External, or Open/Distance Learning (ODL) mode from a university recognized by UGC/AICTE. Candidates must have a minimum average of 55% marks in the last year / last two semesters of graduation. Any programme/course through ODL and/or online mode must be from a university/institute accredited by NAAC with a minimum score of 3.01 on a 4-point scale, or NBA accreditation with at least 650 points on a scale of 1000. The percentage of marks specified for eligibility is considered the exact requirement - no rounding off or upward adjustment is permitted. Candidates with grades (instead of percentage) in their result must submit a certificate from their University/Institute specifying the equivalent percentage, along with decimals, at the time of document verification. Category Fee All Applicants Rs. 250/- (inclusive of GST) Only online payment is accepted - via Credit Card, Debit Card, or Net Banking. Bank charges, if any, shall be borne by the candidate. Application fee once paid is non-refundable and cannot be adjusted in any subsequent recruitment process, under any circumstances. No other mode of payment (Demand Draft, Money Order, Postal Order, Cheque, etc.) is acceptable.

Selection Process
Selection is made through a two-tier written examination followed by document verification and a medical examination. 1st Tier Examination Total marks: 100 (100 questions of 1 mark each). Conducted in Online or Offline mode depending on the number of applications received, at centres across Gujarat. Candidates scoring 45 marks or above qualify for the 2nd Tier Examination. Question paper will be in both Gujarati and English; questions on the Gujarati and English subjects themselves will be in Gujarati and English only respectively. Subject Marks Reasoning 15 Quantitative Aptitude 15 English 20 Gujarati 20 General Knowledge 10 Computer Knowledge 20 Total 100 2nd Tier Examination Total marks: 100, in the same mode as the 1st Tier. Final ranking/merit is based on marks obtained in this exam. Minimum cut-off for selection is 45 marks and above for PwBD candidates. Subject Marks English 20 Gujarati 20 Polity / Public Administration / RTI 20 History, Geography, Culture Heritage 15 Economics, Environment, Science & Tech 15 Current Affairs 10 Total 100 Other Key Exam Rules Negative marking: 1/4th mark is deducted for each wrong answer in both tiers. If applications are received in large numbers, exams may be held in multiple batches, and scores will be adjusted using a Normalization Methodology (based on batch average and standard deviation) before declaring results. In case of any interpretation dispute, the English question paper shall be considered final. Provisional answer keys are published online after each tier; candidates can raise objections by paying Rs. 500 per question within the prescribed time. The fee is refunded if the objection is found valid. Original photo ID proof (Aadhar Card / Election Card / Driving License / PAN Card / Passport) is mandatory for entry to both exam centres. Widow female candidates get 5% grace marks added over their actual 2nd Tier marks (not applicable if remarried). The final 2nd Tier result remains valid for one year from the date of publication, but mere appearance in the result does not guarantee appointment - it depends on vacancy availability. Minimum 85% of selections will be reserved for local residents (domicile) of Gujarat State, as per GR dated 31.03.1995. Document Verification & Medical Examination Shortlisted candidates are called for document verification and a pre-employment medical examination, based on available PwBD-category vacancies in the respective company.
