| Salary | Selected candidates will initially be appointed on a fixed monthly pay of ₹49,600 for the first five years, as per Finance Department resolutions. On satisfactory completion of five years of service, the candidate becomes eligible for regular appointment in the 7th Pay Commission pay scale of ₹39,900 - ₹1,26,600 (Level-7), subject to the outcome of pending Supreme Court matters (SLP No. 14124/2012 and SLP No. 14125/2012) referenced in the notification. |
| Age Limit | As on 10/08/2026, the candidate's age must not be less than 18 years and not more than 35 years. Candidates already in Gujarat Government service may get upper age relaxation as per the 1967 Rules. Eligibility / Qualification
Citizenship The candidate must be a citizen of India, or possess the nationality prescribed under Rule 7 of the Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules, 1967. Who Can Apply Only candidates possessing a valid disability certificate under the Low Vision (LV) category, with a disability percentage between 40% and 70%, are eligible to apply for this specific vacancy, as this Special Recruitment Drive targets a specific disability-group backlog.
Application Fee
Category Preliminary Exam Fee Unreserved (General) Category ₹500/- Reserved Category (Women of all categories, SEBC, SC, ST, EWS, Divyang, Ex-servicemen) ₹400/- Fee must be paid online only - via Debit Card, Internet Banking, UPI, or Wallet - through the OJAS portal. Applicable transaction charges apply in addition to the exam fee. The fee is refunded to candidates who actually appear for the examination; it is not refunded to candidates who do not appear. Fee must be paid by 13/08/2026, 11:59 PM. Applications without fee payment are not considered valid.
Selection Process
Selection will be made through a single-stage Computer Based Response Test (CBRT) / OMR-based Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) examination, divided into two parts: Part Subject Marks Part A (90 Marks) Reasoning & Data Interpretation 30 Quantitative Aptitude 30 Constitution of India, Current Affairs, Gujarati & English Comprehension 30 Part B (120 Marks) Technical subject-related questions (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Computer Engineering, Industries Policy) 120 Total questions: 210 (90 in Part A + 120 in Part B). Total duration: 3 hours (180 minutes) for both parts combined. Negative marking: 1/4th of the marks allotted to a question is deducted for every wrong answer. Minimum qualifying standard: 40% in Part A and 40% in Part B, separately, for all categories. After the exam, GSSSB will publish a Provisional Answer Key, followed by a Final Answer Key after considering objections. Based on the merit list, candidates (approximately twice the number of vacancies) will be called for document verification, after which the final selection list and waiting list will be published. GSSSB Senior Industries Inspector 2026 Detailed Syllabus Part A - Reasoning & Data Interpretation (30 Marks): Coding-Decoding, Blood Relations, Age and Height problems, Direction Sense, Clock and Calendar, Venn Diagrams, Ranking, Series, Analogy, Data Interpretation, Symmetry, Probability, and related analytical topics. Part A - Quantitative Aptitude (30 Marks): Number System, LCM-HCF, Percentage, Profit-Loss, Simple/Compound Interest, Ratio-Proportion, Time-Work-Distance, Averages, Algebra, Mensuration, Coordinate Geometry, and Trigonometry. Part A - Constitution of India (10 Marks), Current Affairs (10 Marks) and Comprehension (10 Marks - Gujarati 5 + English 5): Covers the Preamble, Fundamental Rights and Duties, Directive Principles, Union and State legislature/executive/judiciary, local self-government, elections, current regional/national/international events, and reading comprehension passages. Part B - Technical (120 Marks): Basic Mechanical Engineering (20 marks), Basic Electrical Engineering (20 marks), Basic Electronics Engineering (20 marks), Basic Computer Engineering (20 marks), and Industries Policy (40 marks) covering the Atmanirbhar Gujarat Scheme 2022, Gujarat Textile Policy 2024, MSMED Act 2006, Purchase Policy 2024, Startup Policy of Gujarat, and Ease of Doing Business (EODB).
