Eligibility / Qualification
Nationality The candidate must be a citizen of India or possess nationality as per Rule-7 of the Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules, 1967. GSSSB Municipal Engineer Educational Qualification A Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Technology from a recognized university/institution, or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Government. Basic knowledge of Computer Applications as prescribed under the Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules, 1967. Adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi, or both. Candidates holding a degree in any of the following equivalent disciplines are also eligible: Civil Engineering, Construction Technology and Management, Construction Engineering and Management, Highway Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Water Resource Engineering, Urban Planning, Environmental Engineering, Structural Engineering and Construction Management, Town and Country Planning, and related specializations listed in the official notification (38 disciplines in total). Application Fee

Fees are refunded only to candidates who actually appear for the examination.
Selection Process
Selection will be based on a single-stage objective MCQ competitive examination (CBRT/OMR), divided into two parts: Part Subject Marks Part-A Reasoning and Data Interpretation 30 Quantitative Aptitude 30 Indian Constitution, Current Affairs, Gujarati & English Comprehension 30 Part-B Subject-related questions (Civil Engineering) 120 Total questions: 210 (90 in Part-A, 120 in Part-B) Total duration: 3 hours (180 minutes), combined for both parts Negative marking: 1/4th mark deducted for each wrong answer Minimum qualifying standard: 40% separately in both Part-A and Part-B Candidates who qualify will be called for document verification (roughly twice the number of vacancies per category), after which the final merit-based selection list and waiting list will be published.
