Eligibility / Qualification
Who Can Apply Only Divyang (Persons with Benchmark Disabilities) candidates belonging to the disability groups listed in the vacancy table above are eligible to apply. This is not a general recruitment. Nationality The candidate must be a citizen of India, or must hold the nationality prescribed under Rule 7 of the Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules, 1967. Age Limit (as on 3 August 2026) The standard age limit is 18 to 35 years. Upper age relaxation is available for Divyang candidates as follows: Category Relaxation Maximum Age Limit General category Divyang (Male) 10 years 45 years General category Divyang (Female) 15 years (10+5) 45 years Reserved category Divyang (Male) 15 years (5+10) 45 years Reserved category Divyang (Female) 20 years (5+10+5) 45 years Candidates already in Gujarat Government service may also get upper age relaxation as per the 1967 Recruitment Rules. Age relaxation for Divyang candidates is subject to a medical certificate from the Superintendent/Civil Surgeon as prescribed under the Health and Family Welfare Department circular dated 15 December 2025. Educational Qualification Candidates must possess one of the following: A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technology (excluding Civil Engineering) from a university established/incorporated under a Central or State Act in India, or an institution recognized as a deemed university under the UGC Act, 1956; OR A Diploma in Engineering or Technology (excluding Civil Engineering) from the Technical Examination Board or a Government-recognized institution, along with about 2 years of practical experience as a technical worker (not as labour) in Government service, a Government undertaking, or an industry/company incorporated under the Companies Act, 2013. In addition, candidates must have: Basic knowledge of computer applications as prescribed under the Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules, 1967 (candidates without this certificate at the time of application may still apply, but must submit it before appointment). Adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi, or both. The final eligibility at the time of selection will be governed by the complete recruitment rules for this cadre, not just the summary given in the application form.
Application Fee
Category Fee (Preliminary Exam) Unreserved candidates ₹500/- Reserved category (all-category women, SEBC, SC, ST, EWS, Divyang, and Ex-servicemen) ₹400/- Fee must be paid online only - via Debit Card, Internet Banking, UPI, or Wallets - after generating the confirmation number. Applicable transaction charges apply in addition to the exam fee. Fee must be paid by 6 August 2026, 11:59 PM. The fee is refunded only to candidates who actually appear for the exam. Candidates who do not appear will not get a refund. The fee once paid is non-refundable if the application itself is rejected by GSSSB.

Selection Process
Selection will be made through a single-stage Computer Based Response Test (CBRT) / OMR-based objective (MCQ) written examination, followed by document verification. Negative marking: 1/4th of the marks allotted to a question is deducted for every wrong answer. Qualifying standard: Candidates must score at least 40% in Part A AND at least 40% in Part B separately (independent qualifying standards); this minimum cannot be relaxed for any category. After the provisional result, roughly 2 times the number of vacancies (category/disability-group wise) will be called for document verification. The final selection list and waiting list will be prepared disability-group wise (A, B, C, D & E) based on merit. Gujarati comprehension questions will be in Gujarati only, and English comprehension questions will be in English only.
