| Salary | Project Engineers are engaged on a consolidated remuneration basis that increases each year, along with additional benefits. Designation Year Consolidated Remuneration (per month) PE-I 1st year Rs. 40,000 PE-II 2nd year Rs. 45,000 PE-III 3rd year Rs. 50,000 PE-IV 4th year Rs. 55,000 Additional benefits: Area allowance at 10% of the consolidated remuneration per month - applicable only to candidates posted at various sites/customer locations. Rs. 12,000 per year towards insurance premium, attire allowance, stitching charges, footwear allowance, etc. Tenure: Project Engineer-I is initially engaged for a period of 3 years, which may be extended by one more year based on project requirement and individual performance. Retention Bonus: Project Engineer-I candidates who complete an overall tenure of 4 years are entitled to a Retention Bonus of Rs. 25,000 for every completed year, payable at the end of 4 years - i.e., a total of Rs. 1,00,000. |

Eligibility / Qualification
Candidates must meet the educational qualification, experience, and age criteria described below to be eligible for this recruitment. BEL Project Engineer Educational Qualification Candidates must hold a B.E./B.Tech./B.Sc. Engineering degree (4-year course) from an AICTE-approved college/institute or a recognised university, with a Pass Class, in one of the following disciplines: Electronics stream: Electronics / Electronics & Communication / Electronics & Telecommunication / Telecommunication / Communication / Electrical & Electronics. Computer Science stream: Computer Science / Information Technology / Information Science. Applicants whose degree certificate discipline/specialisation does not match the disciplines listed in the advertisement will not be considered. Candidates assessed under a CGPA/credit system must attach the university's official conversion formula for converting CGPA/credits into a percentage. BEL Project Engineer Post-Qualification Experience Candidates need a minimum of 2 years of relevant post-qualification industrial work experience as on 01.07.2026. Experience in the following areas is preferred: IT Infrastructure Projects IP Networking Data Centre Projects CCTV Projects Sensor-based IoT Projects Any IP-enabled electronic/software product installation, configuration, maintenance, or product support services Teaching experience will not be considered as relevant experience. The relevance of experience and the final decision on candidate selection rests with the Selection Committee. BEL Project Engineer Age Limit The upper age limit for Project Engineer as on 01.07.2026 is 32 years for General category candidates. Age relaxation is available as follows: Category Age Relaxation OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) 3 years SC/ST 5 years PwBD (40% disability or more) 10 years, in addition to the relaxation applicable to their other category, if any Ex-servicemen As per Government of India guidelines The maximum permissible age, after considering all applicable relaxations, is 50 years. Application Fee
Post Application Fee Exemption Project Engineer - I Rs. 400 + 18% GST SC, ST, PwBD categories and Ex-servicemen are exempted from payment of application fee Application fee must be paid through SBI Collect, either online or by visiting an SBI branch. No cheque, demand draft, or cash will be accepted. Fees once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances. Steps to Pay the BEL Project Engineer Application Fee via SBI Collect Go to onlinesbi.sbi and select "State Bank Collect". Accept the Terms and Conditions and click "Proceed". Select the state of Corporation/Institution as "All India". Select the type of Corporation/Institution as "PSU - Public Sector Undertaking" and click "Go". Select "Bharat Electronics Limited" under PSU - Public Sector Undertaking and click "Submit". Select the payment category "Project Engineer Raj/Guj Walk In". Complete the payment as per the instructions shown. Take a print of the payment receipt and attach it with the application form. Selection Process
Selection will be conducted through a walk-in process for pre-registered candidates only. Name of the Post Date Venue Reporting Time Project Engineer 05.08.2026 (see date discrepancy note above) Jodhpur (venue to be intimated on BEL website on or before 07.08.2026) 08:00 AM Candidates must pre-register for the walk-in selection through the official QR code by 09:00 AM on 11.08.2026. Those who do not register will not be allowed to participate. The selection process starts at 08:00 AM; no candidate is allowed entry after 08:30 AM. Selection consists of a written test followed by an interview. Based on the written test score, candidates are shortlisted for interview in the ratio of 1:5 in each category, in order of merit. No travelling expenses/allowance will be given for attending the walk-in selection. Candidates may be required to stay for an additional day for the selection process. BEL Project Engineer Minimum Qualifying Marks Category Written Test Interview General/OBC-NCL 35% 35% SC/ST/PwBD 30% 30% Assessment weightage is 85% for the written test and 15% for the interview.
