Additional benefits mentioned in the annexure include reimbursement of medical insurance premium up to ₹10,000 per annum and reimbursement for an approved online certification course up to ₹25,000 per annum. |

Eligibility / Qualification
Candidates must be Indian citizens and satisfy the educational qualification, experience, and age criteria specified below. Educational Qualification Essential: Bachelor's degree in technology/engineering or an equivalent qualification in Electronics, Communications, Electrical, Telecommunications, Computer Science, Information Technology, or Data Science from a recognized University or Institution of repute. Desirable: Master's degree in any of the above disciplines. Post-Qualification Experience Essential: Four (04) years of work experience in the Broadcasting/Telecom sector. Desirable: Relevant work experience in the Broadcasting/Telecom regulatory domain, with substantial exposure to the broadcasting sector, including experience in policy formulation, drafting consultation papers, recommendations, and regulatory directions or orders. Note: Relevant experience means experience gained after obtaining the qualifying degree. If a candidate has worked earlier in TRAI at any position, up to one-third of that TRAI experience period is added as weightage to the total qualifying experience, as per Annexure-A of the circular. Age Limit The maximum age limit for Senior Associate Consultant Grade-I is 35 years as on the date of issue of the vacancy circular (28 July 2026). Selection Process
Selection is not based merely on educational qualification and experience. As per the notification, TRAI will also assess the candidate's overall performance during an interview/interaction with the Selection Committee, including analytical ability, communication skills (including technical writing), and interpersonal skills. TRAI reserves the right to cancel the selection/appointment process at any time without assigning any reason.
