| Salary | This is not a regular salaried government job, and the notification does not specify a fixed monthly salary or pay scale. As per Ministry of Defence letter No. PC to MF 68640/ECO/Gen/TA-2/513/US/D(GS-III)/2018 dated 30 October 2018, service rendered in Infantry Battalion (TA) Ecological units by ex-servicemen is not admissible to pension, increment, or gratuity. Service of ex-servicemen and ex-women employees in these Ecological units is treated as rehabilitation and is not at par with service of soldiers in the Regular Army or Territorial Army. Eligibility / Qualification
Eligibility for the 130 INF BN TA ECO KUMAON Recruitment Rally 2026 is restricted to two specific candidate groups: ex-servicemen of the Armed Forces, and ex-women employees (including premature retirees) of the Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change (MoEF & CC) and the State Forest Department. Both groups must meet the service, medical, and character conditions listed below. Enrolment window: Candidates should be enrolled within 5 years from their date of retirement. Medical Category: SHAPE-I is required. Character: Must be Exemplary or Very Good. Qualification: Ex-servicemen must be of Indian Domicile and pension holders only. Ex-women employees of MoEF & CC and SFD instead go through an interview by the Board of Officers (BOO), a proficiency test in afforestation-related activity and nursery management conducted by the BOO, and a medical examination. Selection Process
