Application Fee
The application fee for SSC Combined Hindi Translators Examination 2026 is ₹100 for General (UR), OBC, and EWS male candidates. Women candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD), and Ex-Servicemen eligible for reservation are fully exempted from payment of fee. Fee can be paid online only through BHIM UPI, Net Banking, or by using Visa, MasterCard, Maestro, or RuPay Debit Card. The fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances and will not be adjusted against any other examination. Candidates must ensure their fee payment is complete - if the fee is not received by SSC, the application status will show as "Incomplete" and will be summarily rejected. Selection Process
The selection process for SSC Combined Hindi Translators Examination 2026 consists of two stages. In the first stage, Paper-I (Computer Based Examination) is used to shortlist candidates category-wise for Paper-II. Minimum qualifying marks in Paper-I are 30% for UR, 25% for OBC/EWS, and 20% for all other categories. In the second stage, Paper-II (Descriptive) is conducted for shortlisted candidates. For the final merit list, 50% weightage is given to Paper-I scores and 100% weightage to Paper-II marks. Final selection and allocation of Ministry/Department/Organization is based on merit-cum-preference of posts/departments exercised by candidates through an Online Option Form. In case of a tie, it is resolved by total marks in Paper-II, then date of birth (older preferred), and finally alphabetical order of names. Selected candidates will be on probation for 2 years and all posts carry All India Service Liability (AISL). Stage Details 1.
