Selection Process
Pawan Hans follows a merit-based shortlisting process rather than calling every eligible applicant, giving the management discretion over each stage of recruitment. The management will call only candidates ranking highest on eligibility criteria - mere eligibility does not guarantee a test call. The number of candidates called for test may be restricted based on the response received for each post. The management reserves the right to reject applications, cancel posts, or relax age/experience/qualification criteria at its discretion. Only post-qualification experience is counted - teaching experience and induction/training periods are excluded. Candidates called for the test must produce all original documents at the time of test; failure to do so means they will not be permitted to appear, and travelling allowance will not be reimbursed. Outstation candidates called for the test are reimbursed 2nd Class Rail/Bus fare by the shortest route, subject to proof of journey. All appointments are subject to medical fitness as per Pawan Hans Limited rules. Selected candidates may be transferred anywhere in India or abroad at the Management's discretion. Persons with disability of not less than 40% as per GOI guidelines are eligible for PwD benefits.
