Stenographer - Group C, Level 4 With 7 vacancies, this is a significant opening for candidates with shorthand and typing skills. The post is classified under Group C and requires candidates to appear in a skill test in General English, Shorthand, and Typewriting conducted by NBEMS. Age Limit: 18 to 27 years. Essential Qualification: Senior Secondary (12th of 10+2) from a recognized Board. Other Qualifications: Stenographic skill - 80/30 W.P.M in Shorthand/Typing. Candidates will be required to appear in and qualify the test in General English, Shorthand & Typewriting to be conducted by NBEMS. Desirable Qualification: Two years' experience as Steno in Govt./PSU/Autonomous Body and ability of work processing on Computer. Vacancies: 07 5. Junior Assistant - Group C, Level 2 The Junior Assistant post carries the highest number of vacancies at 39, making it the most accessible post in this recruitment. It is open to Senior Secondary (12th pass) candidates with computer proficiency and is ideal for those beginning their Central Government career journey. Age Limit: Below 27 years. Essential Qualification: Passed Senior Secondary Examination from a recognized Board/University recognized by Central/State Govt./UT Administration/Educational Authority. Selection Process

Knowing the selection process in advance helps candidates prepare their strategy early. NBEMS will conduct a written examination for most posts, along with a skill test for the Stenographer post. Based on the official notification, the selection process for NBEMS Recruitment 2026 is expected to include the following stages: Written Examination - For all posts as prescribed by NBEMS (the tentative exam date is 5th & 6th September 2026).
