Selection Process
The selection procedure for this Indian Air Force Pharmacist Recruitment 2026 is conducted in three phases. This section explains what each phase involves and how candidates progress through the process. Phase-I: Online Written Test Duration: 45 minutes Subjects: English (as per 10+2 CBSE syllabus) and Reasoning & General Awareness (RAGA) Marking: +1 for every correct answer, 0 for unattempted questions, -0.25 for each wrong answer Candidates must qualify in each paper separately; marks may be normalised across sessions Phase-II: Physical Fitness Test, Adaptability Test and Document Verification Physical Fitness Test (PFT): Test Maximum Time (up to 21 years) Maximum Time (above 21 / Diploma-Pharma candidates) 1.6 Km Run Within 7 minutes Within 7 minutes 30 seconds Candidates who clear the run undergo PFT-II after a 10-minute recuperation break, consisting of 10 push-ups, 10 sit-ups, and 20 squats, each within one minute, with short breaks between exercises. Candidates who pass PFT undertake Adaptability Test-I (objective written test) Candidates clearing Adaptability Test-I proceed to Adaptability Test-II as per current policy Document verification of educational and other certificates is also carried out at this stage Phase-III: Medical Examination Candidates who qualify Adaptability Test-II are issued a medical appointment letter and undergo a detailed medical examination conducted by the Air Force Medical Team, including blood haemogram, urine routine examination, biochemistry tests (blood sugar, serum cholesterol, RFT, LFT), chest radiograph, and ECG. Candidates declared medically unfit may apply for an Appeal Medical Board (AMB) by depositing Rs. 40/- within three working days of the medical examination.
