Selection Process
GATE Score Shortlisting: Candidates are shortlisted for interview in the ratio of 1:5 (discipline-wise and category-wise), based on GATE score merit. All candidates with a tied score at the cut-off rank are shortlisted. Document Verification: Conducted before the interaction/interview. Candidates who fail to appear with original documents are not eligible for further stages. Personal Interaction/Interview: Maximum 50 marks, assessed on Technical (Academic) knowledge, Presentation/Communication Skill/Comprehension, and Academic performance (0.05 mark per percentage in the qualifying degree). Final Merit Weightage Parameter Weightage GATE 2026 / 2025 / 2024 Score (best of the three) 60% Personal Interaction/Interview 40% Minimum Qualifying Marks in Interview Unreserved (UR): 50% EWS/OBC/SC/ST/PwBD: 40% Candidates who do not meet the minimum qualifying marks in the interview will not be considered for the final merit list, irrespective of GATE score.
