Eligibility / Qualification
Eligibility varies by post. Common conditions across all posts: Candidates must be a local resident of Chhattisgarh, verified by a local resident certificate issued by a competent authority at the time of document verification. Minimum age: 18 years; Maximum age: 64 years (calculated as on 01 January 2026). Educational qualification and other eligibility must be fully complete as on the date of the advertisement.

The fee is non-refundable. DDs issued in any other name will not be accepted. Candidates applying for more than one post must submit a separate application and separate DD for each post. The DD number, date, and amount must be mentioned in the application form. Applications without the fee (DD) will be rejected.
Selection Process
Based on the number of advertised vacancies, a fixed multiple of applicants will be shortlisted for document verification/written exam/skill exam: Total Advertised Vacancies Candidates Shortlisted for Screening 1 to 10 10 times the total vacancies 11 to 50 5 times the total vacancies 50 and above 3 times the total vacancies Final merit is based on the sum of: Educational Qualification marks + Experience marks + Written/Skill Exam marks. Educational qualification weightage: 65% of aggregate marks across all qualifying years (60% for ANM/GNM/Nursing-trained Mitanins). For Class-IV (NUHM/UHWC), Support Staff (Housekeeping-ICU), and Class-4 (MSSK) posts, educational qualification is weighted at 85%. Experience marks: maximum 10 marks (2 marks/year) for general candidates; maximum 15 marks (3 marks/year) for candidates currently working in NHM; maximum 20 marks (4 marks/year) for ANM/GNM Nursing-trained Mitanins (applicable only to those who completed the ANM course by 31 December 2017, with experience certified by the State Health Resource Centre). Written/Skill Exam: 20 marks. Minimum qualifying marks are 30% for general candidates and 20% for SC/ST/OBC candidates against advertised vacancies. A one-time bonus of 10 marks applies to temporary health workers who served in Chhattisgarh government health institutions for 6 months during the COVID-19 pandemic, for Class III and Class IV posts (per General Administration Department order dated 17.09.2021). In case of a tie in total marks, priority order is: (1) Educational qualification weightage marks, (2) Skill exam marks, (3) Higher age. A waiting list will be maintained: 200% of sanctioned posts for up to 25 posts, 150% for 25–50 posts, and 100% for more than 50 posts. The final selection list and waiting list remain valid for a minimum of one year from the date of publication, or until a new advertisement is issued, whichever is earlier.
