For the 12 Level-2 posts, NFR has prescribed a general qualification along with separate conditions for two specific categories of posts - Clerk-cum-Typist and Artisan (Technical). Pass in 12th (+2 stage) or its equivalent examination with not less than 50% marks in aggregate. The 50% aggregate condition is relaxed for ST/SC and Ex-Servicemen candidates, and is not insisted upon where the candidate holds a higher qualification such as Graduation or Post-Graduation. For Jr. Clerk cum Typist / Accounts Clerk cum Typist posts (based on vacancy), typing proficiency of 30 wpm in English or 25 wpm in Hindi is essential. For Artisan (Technical Categories) posts, candidates need a pass in Matriculation or equivalent from a recognized board along with an ITI certificate. A Diploma in Engineering is not considered as an alternative higher qualification for this post.
