Age will be calculated based on the Birth Certificate issued by the competent authority or the HSLC Admit Card/Certificate issued by a recognised Board/Council. Other Eligibility Conditions Must be a citizen of India and a permanent resident of the area for which appointment is sought. Must be physically fit and of sound mind. Must not have been declared insolvent or a defaulter in payment of Government dues (a Bakijai Clearance Certificate must be furnished). Must not be a government employee. Must not be a member of any political party. Must have land or immovable property in his/her own name in the village where appointment as Gaon Pradhan is sought. Preference will be given to family members of the previous Gaon Pradhan, and the views of the Mouzadar will be taken into consideration. Candidate should be a person of high status and command, holding a respectable position in society. Candidate must not have more than 2 (two) living children from a single or multiple partners (as per Government of Assam Notification dated 19th July 2019, No. RLR.187/2007/Pt/24). Candidate must furnish a self-affidavit confirming they do not have more than two living children from a single/multiple partners.
