Eligibility / Qualification
Educational Qualification Candidates must satisfy either of the following two routes: Route 1: B.Sc. Nursing from a recognized university, and registration with the Andhra Pradesh Nursing Council. Route 2: Intermediate examination or an equivalent qualification, and a General Nursing Course of three years' duration plus Midwifery training of six months' duration from an institution recognized by the Nursing Council of India, plus three years of experience in a Medical College/tertiary care hospital, and registration with the Andhra Pradesh Nursing Council. Desirable qualifications: BLS & ACLS training certificates, and knowledge of computer applications.

No other mode (bank draft, cheque, etc.) is accepted. Any transaction/processing fee charged by the bank is payable by the applicant, in addition to the application fee. The application fee, once remitted, is non-refundable under any circumstances - including if the application is rejected or the notification is cancelled. Applications submitted without payment of the prescribed fee will be summarily rejected.

Selection Process
Selection is based on a total of 100 marks, distributed as follows: Component Marks Details Written Test (Computer-Based Test) 75 75 multiple-choice questions, 1 mark each, 90-minute duration. No negative marking. Conducted through AP Online Service at various test centres. Experience 15 1 mark per completed 6-month block of relevant service in Govt./Semi-Govt./Public Sector institutions or hospitals with a minimum 500-bed strength meeting statutory (EPF/ESI) compliance. Maximum 15 marks. Interview 10 Conducted after shortlisting based on written test and experience marks. Additional points on selection: If total applications received for the post are less than 10, selection is based on weightage of marks in the qualifying examination, experience, and interview. If applications exceed 10, a computer-based online test is conducted. Minimum qualifying marks in the CBT: 40% for OC & EWS, 35% for BC, and 30% for SC, ST & PwBD categories. The question paper for the CBT will be in English. Where two or more candidates score equal marks, the elder candidate (by age) is given preference; in case of a further tie, the candidate with more experience is preferred. A waitlist is maintained for a period of one year in case a provisionally selected candidate does not join. Selection is provisional and subject to verification of original certificates, community/local status, experience, antecedents, and medical fitness. Candidates must not be in a bigamous marriage and must not have been convicted by any court of law to be eligible.
