Eligibility / Qualification
Eligibility varies by discipline and post. Candidates must verify the full conditions in Annexure-A and B of the official notification. The core requirements by category are summarised below. Skill Professor - Key Eligibility Highlights Computer Science & Engineering / IT and Management: Ph.D. in the relevant field, First Class at Bachelor's or Master's level, a minimum of 10 years' experience in teaching/research/industry (at least 3 years at Associate Professor level), and at least 6 research publications in SCI/UGC/AICTE-listed journals plus 2 successful Ph.D. supervised; OR at least 10 research publications at Associate Professor level. Nursing: M.Sc. Nursing with 12 years' total experience, including 10 years' teaching experience after M.Sc. Ph.D. (Nursing) is desirable. Pharmacy: B.Pharm., registration under the Pharmacy Act 1948, Ph.D. with First Class at Bachelor's or Master's level, 10 years' experience at Lecturer level, and a research score of 120 as per Annexure-B. Industry professionals with First Class Master's and significant professional work equivalent to Ph.D. may also apply under the alternate criteria. Physiotherapy: Master's degree in Physiotherapy (M.P.T./M.Th.P./M.Sc. P.T.) with 10 years' total experience. Ph.D. in Physiotherapy is desirable. Visual Arts and Fine Arts: Doctoral degree, at least 10 years' teaching/research experience, minimum 6 research publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals, and a research score of 120. Performing Arts: Either (A) doctoral degree with 10 years' experience, 6 publications, and research score of 120; OR (B) a traditional/professional artist with Master's degree, 'A'-grade artist status from AIR/Doordarshan, 10 years of outstanding performing achievements, and significant research-guiding contributions. Tourism: Ph.D. in the relevant discipline, minimum 10 research publications, research score of 120, and 10 years' teaching/research experience with evidence of guided doctoral candidates; OR an outstanding professional with Ph.D. and 10 years of demonstrated contribution. Skill Associate Professor - Key Eligibility Highlights Agriculture and Tourism: Ph.D., Master's with at least 55% marks, minimum 8 years' teaching/research experience at Assistant Professor level, 7 publications in peer-reviewed/UGC/NAAS-rated journals, and a research score of 75. Computer Science & Engineering / IT and Management: Ph.D., First Class at Bachelor's or Master's level, 6 research publications in SCI/UGC/AICTE-listed journals, and 8 years' experience including at least 2 years Post-Ph.D. Nursing: M.Sc. Nursing with 8 years' total experience including 5 years' teaching experience. Ph.D. (Nursing) is desirable. Pharmacy: B.Pharm., registration under Pharmacy Act 1948, Ph.D. with First Class, 8 years' experience at Lecturer level (excluding period spent on research degree), and a research score of 75. Alternate criteria apply for industry professionals. Physiotherapy: Master's degree in Physiotherapy with 8 years' experience as an Assistant Professor. Fine Arts, Visual Arts, and Performing Arts: Doctoral degree, high professional performance standard, 8 years' teaching/research experience, and significant contributions evidenced by quality publications. Candidates already working in a service are required to apply through proper channel with a vigilance clearance certificate. An advance copy may be sent directly, but the candidate must produce a No Objection Certificate and Vigilance Clearance Certificate in a sealed cover from the employer at the time of interview.
Selection Process
The selection will be based on a composite score out of 100 marks, structured as follows: Component Marks Academic Performance - Undergraduate 08 Academic Performance - Postgraduate 12 Research Performance (assessed by subject experts on best publications) 40 Domain Knowledge & Teaching Skills (assessed through presentation) 20 Interview 20 Total 100 All eligible applicants will be called for interview. A candidate must secure a minimum composite score of 60% to be considered suitable for selection. Candidates belonging to SC/BC/PwBD categories need to secure at least 57%. In cases of a tie, preference will be given first to the older candidate, and then to the candidate who acquired the essential degree earlier.
