The eligibility criteria differ based on whether a candidate applies for Short Term Contract or Deputation. For Short Term Contract Eminent artists/private persons fulfilling the essential qualifications as well as having the desirable qualifications, as applicable to a Assistant Professor / Lecturer (Bharatanatyam) level appointee in a Central/State Government/Autonomous institutions. For Deputation Officers holding analogous posts in Central/State Government/Autonomous institutions, or having 8 years regular service in the Pay Level 15 (Rs. 36200-114800) of Tamil Nadu Government State Pay Scales, or equivalent level. Essential Qualifications Class X passed. Diploma or Post Diploma holder from a recognised institution in the particular field. Should be able to give solo performance for about 2 hours. Should be able to sing and conduct dance programmes by doing nattuvangam. Should be able to take part in Kalakshetra productions. Should be able to handle all the junior and senior level classes and theory in English. Should have a minimum of 8 years experience in the field. Desirable Qualifications Knowledge of South Indian languages and Hindi. Ability to write music and dance notations.

Based on the scrutiny of applications, candidates who fulfil the Essential Qualifications in all respects as per the parameters of this Notice will be shortlisted, and such shortlisted candidates may be called for a skill test, if necessary.
