Eligibility / Qualification
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Post Teaching/Research Experience (per NMC TEQ Regulation 2025) Registration Professor Associate Professor in the subject for 3 years at a recognized medical institution; at least 2 research publications after becoming Associate Professor (among the first three authors); completed the Basic Course in Biomedical Research; must undergo the Basic Course in Medical Education. A Senior Consultant with 3 years' experience as a postgraduate teacher of a broad/super specialty subject at an NBE-recognized government medical institute is also eligible. MBBS and additional qualification registered with Telangana State Medical Council Associate Professor Assistant Professor in the subject for 4 years at a recognized medical institution, or 5 years for those appointed directly as Assistant Professor in a government medical institution; at least 2 research publications after becoming Assistant Professor (among the first three authors); completed the Basic Course in Biomedical Research; must undergo the Basic Course in Medical Education. A non-teaching Consultant/Specialist/Medical Officer with a PG medical degree and 10 years' experience in at least a 220-bedded government hospital is also eligible, subject to completing both basic courses within two years of appointment. MBBS and additional qualification registered with Telangana State Medical Council Assistant Professor One year as Senior Resident in the concerned subject at a recognized medical institution (Tutor or Demonstrator experience with the relevant PG qualification may count as equivalent); or a non-teaching Consultant/Specialist/Medical Officer with a PG medical degree and at least 2 years' experience in a government hospital with at least 220 beds; or diploma holders appointed as Senior Resident before 08-06-2017 with 4 years' total experience; or diploma holders working as Specialist/Medical Officer with 6 years' cumulative experience in a government medical institution. MBBS and additional qualification registered with Telangana State Medical Council Senior Resident Undergoing residency after obtaining a postgraduate degree (MD/MS/DNB), or a postgraduate MSc with PhD in Anatomy, Biochemistry, Physiology, Pharmacology, or Microbiology. Selection Process
Candidates will be selected based on merit, duration of teaching experience, and interview. For Professor and Associate Professor posts, the duration of teaching experience in that cadre and total teaching experience will be considered. Selection is nationwide, with first preference given to local candidates for Assistant Professor-level posts; candidates from elsewhere will be considered if local candidates are not available. Professor and Associate Professor posts belong to the state cadre. DNB candidates will be selected as per the latest NMC guidelines. Rule of Reservation will be followed.
