Eligibility / Qualification
This section explains the age limit, experience requirement, and subject-wise educational qualification a candidate must meet to apply for BEEI Teachers Recruitment 2026. Age Limit: The upper age limit for all Teacher posts is 45 years, calculated as on 01 April 2026. Experience Required: Candidates need a minimum of 3 years of post-qualification teaching experience, as on 01 April 2026. This experience is counted from the month immediately following the month in which the candidate's final examination for the essential educational qualification was completed. Age Relaxation: Age relaxation up to 50 years is allowed only for applicants who are spouses of deceased BEL employees, on compassionate grounds. Experience Relaxation: Candidates holding a postgraduate (PG) degree are given preference and receive a relaxation in required experience equal to the duration of their PG degree in years, in cases where PG is not a mandatory qualification for that post. Subject-wise Educational Qualification Subject Qualification Chemistry Degree in B.Sc with 50% and M.Sc Chemistry with 55% and B.Ed. with 50%. Preference to candidates with M.Phil. or Ph.D. Computer Science (PGT) B.Sc. Computer Science, or BCA, or BE/B.Tech Computer Science, or BE/B.Tech IT, or MCA with minimum 50% aggregate marks, OR a 3-year Diploma in Computer Science Engineering with minimum 50% aggregate marks issued by the Board of Technical Education - and Graduation in B.Ed. with 50% English BA English with 50% and MA English with 50% and Graduation in B.Ed. with 50% Hindi BA Hindi with minimum 50% aggregate marks and B.Ed. (with Hindi as one of the subjects) Commerce & Management (Lecturer) M.Com with minimum 55% marks from a recognized university as a regular candidate. Preference to candidates with NET, SLET, M.Phil, or Ph.D. Computer Science/IT (Lecturer) M.Sc Computer Science, MCA, or M.Tech Computer Science/IT with minimum 55% marks from a recognized university as a regular candidate. Preference to candidates with NET, SLET, M.Phil, or Ph.D. Sanskrit (Lecturer) MA Sanskrit with minimum 55% marks from a recognized university as a regular candidate. Preference to candidates with NET, SLET, M.Phil, or Ph.D. Mathematics BSc Maths with 50% and M.Sc Mathematics with 50% and Graduation in B.Ed. with 50% Science BSc Physics/Chemistry/Biology/Maths with 50% and MSc Physics/Chemistry/Biology with 50% and Graduation in B.Ed. with 50% Social Science BA History, Geography, Economics, Political Science, or Sociology with minimum 50% aggregate marks, and B.Ed. (with History/Geography/Civics/Economics/English as one of the subjects) with minimum 50% aggregate marks Special Educator Any Degree with D.Ed. in Mental Retardation, or B.Ed. (Special Education in Mental Retardation), or any qualification prescribed by the National Rehabilitation Council of India Statistics Degree in BSc with 50% and M.Sc Statistics with 55% and Graduation in B.Ed. with 50%. Preference to candidates with M.Phil. or Ph.D. Librarian Bachelor's Degree in Library Science A graduate degree combined with a relevant postgraduate qualification and B.Ed. is the common pattern across most subjects, with the minimum aggregate percentage ranging from 50% to 55% depending on the post. Candidates with NET, SLET, M.Phil., or Ph.D. are given preference for the Lecturer-level posts in Commerce & Management, Computer Science/IT, and Sanskrit, and similarly for Chemistry and Statistics at the PGT level. Selection Process
This section explains the stages of selection - from shortlisting through the written test to the final interview. Candidates are first shortlisted for the Written Test based on the information declared in their application form. Written Test (70% weight): The test carries 50 marks for the respective subject, 10 marks for general knowledge, and 10 marks for aptitude, to be completed in 90 minutes. Interview (30% weight): Conducted only for candidates who qualify in the Written Test. Candidates who pass the Written Test are called for interview based on a 1:5 ratio. The venue for the Written Test and Interview will be intimated only through email. Names of candidates shortlisted for the Written Test, Interview, and the final selection list will be notified on the official BEEI website. Selection for BEEI Teachers Recruitment 2026 follows a three-stage process: shortlisting, a 90-minute written test weighted at 70%, and an interview weighted at 30% for those who clear the written test. Only candidates who pass the written test and fall within the 1:5 shortlisting ratio will be interviewed, and all communication about the test venue is sent by email rather than post or phone.
