Eligibility / Qualification
Nationality: Candidates must satisfy eligibility and experience requirements as per RITES norms; retired government / railway / PSU officers can also be engaged through competitive process for specific tasks and durations. Educational Qualification & Experience (Illustrative by Major Categories) Post / VC No. Educational Qualification & Experience Chief Resident Engineer / Viaduct (YP/16/26) Graduate Degree in Civil Engineering from recognised university; minimum 15 years’ post-qualification experience, with at least 7 years in construction/supervision of viaducts and major civil structures with pile/open foundations in Railway Infrastructure projects or eligible works. Sr. Geotechnical Expert (YP/17/26) M.Tech in Geotechnical Engineering; minimum 12 years’ post-PG experience with at least 10 years in geotechnical investigations and interpretation for tunnels, bridges and structures in Railway/Highway projects with DDC/PMC/GC/Construction agencies. Dy. Chief Design Expert (S&T) (YP/18/26) Diploma in Electronics/Electrical Engineering (preferred Degree); 10 years’ experience after Diploma or 8 years after Degree in Railway signalling design, with minimum 7/5 years respectively in PMC/GC/Construction/Signalling contractors/OEMs for RRI/SSI/PI/EI systems. Dy. Chief Design Expert (Electrical) (YP/19/26) Diploma in Electrical/Electronics or related; preferred Degree in Electrical/Electronics; 10 years after Diploma or 8 years after Degree in Railway electrification projects, including OHE & PSI design through PMC/GC/contractors. Geologist / Geotechnical Expert (YP/20/26, YP/21/26) M.Sc Geology or M.Tech Geotechnical with 10+ years relevant post-PG experience in geological/geotechnical investigations, reports and interpretation for Railway/Highway projects, with specific minimum years in Railways/PSUs/PMC/GC as detailed in notification. Project Engineer (Cut & Cover) (YP/22/26) Diploma in Civil (preferred Degree); 10 years after Diploma or 7 years after Degree including 6/4 years respectively in construction/supervision of tunnelling works (preferably cut-and-cover tunnels) in Railway/Highway projects. Sr. Contract Expert / Sr. QS & Billing Expert (YP/23/26, YP/24/26) Diploma in Civil (preferred Degree or Project/Construction Management certification); 10 years after Diploma or 7 years after Degree, including significant experience in procurement strategy, tenders, bid management, contracts, estimates, billing, budgeting and cost control for Railway/Infrastructure projects. Senior Resident Engineer (Electrical / S&T) (YP/25/26, YP/26/26, YP/27/26) Diploma (preferred Degree) in Electrical/Electronics; 10 years after Diploma or 7 years after Degree in Railway electrification, signalling or general electrical services; detailed alternative experience paths for retired IRSEE/ASTE/DSTE and equivalent PSU/Metro roles given in notification. Design / Section / QS / Planning Engineers (YP/28/26 to YP/36/26) Diploma/ Degree in Civil/Electrical/Electronics with 4–7 years+ experience (depending on post) in design, construction/supervision, QS & billing, planning & procurement, bridges, formation, tunnels, OHE/PSI, Railway signalling and related railway infrastructure works. Senior Design Expert / Civil (YP/37/26) Diploma in Civil (preferred PG in Structural or retired Railway Gazetted officer); total 5 years after PG or 7 years after Degree; at least 5 years after Degree or 3 years after PG in design of railway formation, bridges, tunnels, station buildings, earth retaining structures etc. Senior QA / QC Expert (YP/38/26) Diploma in Civil (preferred Degree or retired Railway Gazetted officer); total 10 years after Diploma or 7 years after Degree, with at least 6/4 years respectively as Supervisor and above in QA/QC for construction of Railway infrastructure projects/eligible works.

Selection Process
Stage Details 1. Online Application & Document Upload Candidates apply online via RITES website and upload all required documents (education, experience, ID proofs, etc.) in the portal; hard copies are not to be sent by post. 2. Document Scrutiny / Verification All applicants who submit the online form are provisionally allowed for document scrutiny; eligibility against the post is verified from uploaded documents and original proofs (in person/online). 3. Shortlisting Only candidates found eligible after document scrutiny are shortlisted for interview; RITES reserves the right to limit the number of candidates. 4. Interview (Personal) Mode of selection is Interview only; candidates are evaluated on technical skills, subject knowledge, experience, communication and interpersonal skills. 5. Client CV Approval & Engagement CVs of suitable candidates are sent to client; engagement letters issued only for candidates whose CVs are approved by client and subject to project/award requirements.
