Selection is based on Screening of Application, Document Verification, and performance in Sports Trials and assessment of Sports Achievement & Educational Qualification. After scrutiny of applications, shortlisted eligible candidates will be called for Document Verification and Trial of Sports Performance. Only candidates found suitable in Document Verification proceed to Trials. Trials are conducted by a Trial Committee, which assesses sports performance and suitability for the Railway/Unit team, and recommends candidates as either "FIT" or "NOT FIT."
