Class VIII passed from a recognised school and Bengali reading and writing are required, along with an LMV or HMV licence of at least 03 years. The 03 years of experience must be in any Government organisation, Quasi Government organisation or registered private limited company, etc. Murshidabad: Age (21 to 40 years) and the 03-year licence period are counted as on the date of publication of the notice. The 03 years of experience must be as a driver, supported by documentary proof. Other units: Age and licence period are counted as on the date of advertisement. Reservation-related age relaxation is not specified in the provided notices.

The Krishnanagar notice states that no application fee will be charged. The Murshidabad notice states that no application fee shall be charged at any stage. The other notices do not mention any application fee.

Selection is through a Driving Test and Interview of 40 marks in total. Shortlisted candidates with valid applications are called for both stages, and a merit list is prepared on the marks obtained.
