Eligibility / Qualification
Candidates must have passed 10+2 and satisfy one of the two prescribed technical qualification routes. Educational Qualification Eligibility Route Qualification Route 1 - Motor Mechanic Certificate 10+2 Pass from a recognized Board or Institution, plus a Motor Mechanic Certificate from a recognized institution or Industrial Training Institute and three years of practical experience in the trade in a reputed workshop. Route 2 - Automobile Engineering Diploma 10+2 Pass from a recognized Board or Institution, plus a three-year Diploma in Automobile Engineering. Experience Clarification: The three-year practical experience requirement is linked to the Motor Mechanic Certificate route. The advertisement does not prescribe separate workshop experience for applicants possessing the three-year Automobile Engineering Diploma. The required qualifications must be possessed by the application closing date of 27 October 2026.

Selection Process
Selection will be conducted in multiple phases covering physical fitness, eligibility verification, written examination, trade skills and medical fitness. Phase I: Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Physical Standard Test (PST). Phase II: Verification of Original Documents and Written Examination. Phase III: Practical Skill Test and preparation of the merit list. Phase IV: Detailed Medical Examination (DME) and Review Medical Examination (RME), where applicable. Final Merit Rule: The Practical Skill Test is qualifying in nature. Final merit is prepared on the basis of written examination marks among candidates who qualify the prescribed stages.
